Hi there! :)


We're a couple from Colombia (him) and UK (her) currently traveling around India and are about to start a Yoga Teacher Training for the whole month of March. After that we will head towards Portugal and would love to find a volunteering that will allow us to discover the city of Porto this summer!


- We are motivated by opportunities where we can see the world through other people's points of view

- We are creative thinkers & tech savvy

- We enjoy physical activity a lot, or just tasks that allow us to focus our body and mind in the present moment

- Passionate about humans and how we can create so many different ways of living and co-living with nature, from agricultural lifestyles to different religious or philosophical points of view.

- We love hiking, climbing, yoga and swimming, and are friendly people who also enjoy quiet

- We live an active and health oriented lifestyle

We both have experience teaching English and Spanish, both as second languages. We're passionate about being a part of somebody's process when they are learning a language as it is something quite meaningul for one's personal journey.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Darwin:

- I can formally teach Spanish as a second language

- Have practiced yoga for several years and have skills to share

- Recording, editing and managing different tools for social media content creation

- I have a good physical condition that allows me to learn quickly and get the job done.

- I have experience volunteering in hostels, in reception, events and housekeeping

- Helping with social media marketing in a charity foundation

- I've volunteered in Colombia, México, Portugal and UK.

Jo:

- I'm a ESL teacher, experienced teaching kids and adults and running writing workshops

- Creative, with an eye for visual arts and design and a love for words

- Strong communicator

- Experience helping produce web content and improve web design

- Active and physically fit, enjoys working outdoors

- Basic gardening skills, housekeeping skills, painting skills and a desire to learn more about building/growing/permaculture/renovating

- Some sailing experience through volunteering on a sailboat going from France to Spain in 2023.

Darwin:

I love to do handstands and slackline!

I want to learn more about Yoga, breathwork mindfullness, self development, and also about sustainable ways of living with nature, permaculture, wood construction.

Jo:

I have lived in over 7 countries and have a lot of experience adapting to new cultures and communicating with people. I am interested in applying myself to learning new skills, particularly in gardening, design, and building, as I really enjoy working outdoors and with my hands.

So far we are in the stage of life where we want to explore the world as much as we can but also doing so slowly, so we make sure that we are surely enjoying each place and discovering the hidden magic of the people that we're surrounded by in those places.

We also share a dream of creating an off grid project in Colombia in the future, and are looking to gain skills that will help us fulfill that.
