Description

Hi! We’re Miléna and Dante, a Swiss couple from Geneva :) We are currently doing a world tour, mostly doing hitchhiking🌍

We love discovering the world through meaningful experiences and meeting people from different cultures.

We enjoy stepping out of our comfort zone, learning new skills, and experiencing things in the places we visit rather than just passing through as tourists.

We’re both easygoing, respectful, open-minded, and always happy to lend a hand. We like keeping our living space clean and organized, and we’re quick learners who are not afraid of getting our hands dirty. Whether it’s gardening, painting, cooking, taking care of animals, helping with guests, or learning completely new tasks, we’re enthusiastic and motivated.

Outside of volunteering, we love hiking, camping, spending time in nature, and exploring new places. We’re also passionate about Latin culture: we both love salsa, bachata, and reggaeton, and dancing is one of our favourite ways to connect with people. We both speak French, English and Spanish. Dante speaks Italian and Portuguese too, and Miléna a little bit of German.

We’d love to share Swiss traditions, cook some of our favourite recipes, exchange stories, and contribute positively to your home or project.

We believe that the best part of travelling is the people you meet, and we hope to create an experience that is rewarding for both you and us.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Background :
Miléna has a Bachelor's degree in Literature and a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Geneva. She worked for two years on sustainability projects and has experience organizing events. She also have some knowledge of communication (social network and website).

Dante studied Chemistry at the University of Geneva before working for several years in the pharmaceutical industry. He later started a kinesiology (healing technics) school.

Languages :
We both speak French, English, and Spanish fluently. Miléna speaks a little bit of German and Dante Italian and Portuguese.

Experience:
We're happy to help with cooking, cleaning, organizing, gardening, taking care of a home, and everyday tasks. We both enjoy cooking with fresh, local ingredients and would love to learn family recipes from our hosts. We also enjoy spending time with animals. Dant has experience caring for dogs, and Miléna has looked after cats.

What we want to learn :
We'd love to discover more about permaculture, ecological construction, sustainable living, growing food . Dante would also love to learn to play a musical instrument someday!

Hobbies :
Outside of traveling, you'll probably find us dancing salsa (and sometimes tango or bachata), climbing, reading, cooking, talking about nutrition, health, and sustainability, or planning our next hitchhiking adventure. We’re both also passionate about personal growth. Finally Miléna has recently started painting :)

Why we are on Workaway :
Above all, we hope to create genuine connections. We would love to share meals, stories, and laughter with our hosts, while helping make everyday life a little easier. We see every Workaway as an exchange, where everyone has something to teach and something to learn. We're excited to meet you and become part of your daily life, even if it's just for a little while! :)
