Description

Hey there,

My name is Conor, from Ireland. I have been a secondary school teacher for approximately 10 years teaching Engineering and Graphics at High School Level in Ireland. In addition, I founded and run a Gym Equipment business, manufacturing, supplying and and installing gyms in Ireland and the UK.

My teaching experience has developed my skills in leadership, dealing with people from all walks of life and working as part of a team. Starting my own business was a very challenging but rewarding process, I have overseen all elements of the business from website development, accounts, manufacturing and carrying out installations. This has given me great experience in technology, dealing with customers, using machinery and power tools and much much more!

Outside of work I have a sporting background and am fond of all things outdoors such as nature, animals, fly-fishing, cycling, swimming, running etc. I have grown up with animals such as horses and dogs, worked on farms and in my down time love to fish!

I have been lucky enough to have see numerous parts of the world, normally on a short term basis and in a group setting. I am eager to see many more parts of the world and various cultures.

I joined Workaway just to step outside my comfort zone and get a true experience of other areas of the world, I am not afraid of hard work and like to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

I have been a sportsman in Ireland for 14 years . I am interested in all things fitness and outdoors, such as cycling, swimming, running and am a frequent gym trainier.

In my down time I enjoy some fly-fishing or am happy to go for a walk and take in new cultural experiences with some good food and coffees!
