  • Description

Hello there! I am an open-minded person who is curious by nature and works with a good level of initiative. I'm motivated by science, culture, nature, dance and FOOD and I'm frequently described as easy-going by the lovely people that I've lived with. I do not take things personally and I'm very happy to adapt and discover new ways of living!

Here is a quick list of my experience that may be useful to you:
-PhD in engineering (focused on water purification and water management). I've been working in the lab for 4 years and I'm used to dealing with heavy equipment, minor electronics, pumps and screen printing equipment. I've also picked up some problem solving skills when things don't go to plan!
-200 hr Ashtanga / Hatha yoga teacher certified
    -advanced open water scuba diver
    -intermediate Spanish speaker
    -experience teaching breathworth, meditation, yoga
-experience teaching degree-level engineering, mathematics and chemistry

Currently I'm on a big trip crossing from Mexico to Patagonia by land / boat. I've had some really great WorkAways so far which have taught me to be an autonomous worker with the following:
-Harvesting coffee beans and mangos. I know the techniques for selecting the best beans and have harvested mostly caturra beans
-Drying and processing cherry and enmielado cafe
-Preparing for Temazcal ceremonies, including cooking Pozole for groups of 10+
-Making tumeric powder from fresh rhizomes
-Using electric sanding equipment and electric saws for cutting wooden shapes for eco projects
-Painting and decorating to protect wooden cabins from termites
-Maintaining continuous access to water from gravity water distribution system
-Leading yoga classes for guests at hostels/hotels (preferred style is YinYang)
-Cooking for large groups of guests and/or volunteers
