Hi! I'm Claudia Lucero (some friends call me Luce), a passionate mountain biker and swimmer, content creator, and marketing strategist from the beautiful mountains of Colombia. If I had to describe myself, I'd say I am an active, adventurous soul and an "Alchemist" of ideas!

What motivates me and brings me true happiness is human connection, nature, and my absolute life motto: "Mover te sana" (Movement heals you). I deeply believe in the power of an active lifestyle. Whether I am exploring trails on my mountain bike, swimming, or training passionately at the gym, staying active is my daily engine. This dedication even led me to found a digital community and YouTube channel focused on empowering women in cycling. My biggest joy comes from challenging my body, sharing good stories, and capturing the magic of new places through my camera lens.

For 15 years, I was rooted in the business world, founding and managing my own brand, @Pasteliarte. It was an amazing journey, but recently, I traded the traditional office structure for a nomadic lifestyle. My vision is to travel the world, learn from new cultures, and collaborate with inspiring projects where I can blend my business discipline with my creative spirit.

My Workaway journey is already underway! I am currently wrapping up a beautiful volunteer exchange at a hospitality business in Iceland. Here, alongside optimizing their social media, I took on the massive and rewarding project of designing their comprehensive operational manuals (SOPs). I documented the exact step-by-step workflows for their laundry operations, housekeeping for the guest domes, the Workawayers' house, the restaurant, the guest common areas, and a flawless check-in experience! I have also stepped in as the sous-chef for their restaurant! It has been amazing to bring the 15 years of culinary and management experience from my own brand, Pasteliarte, right back to the kitchen line.

As my time in the Schengen zone ends by mid-May, I am actively looking for my next 45 to 90-day adventure. I am looking for a meaningful exchange where I can bring a positive, proactive spark to your project in return for sharing some good food, laughs, and daily rhythms.

I am fully fluent/comfortable working in English, which I use daily for my marketing strategies, content creation, and my current volunteer exchange here in Iceland. I am in my element handling guest check-ins, providing excellent customer service, coordinating outdoor activities, or even sharing a great cooking session! I bring a structured yet warm energy to ensure your guests feel right at home, dedicating my exchange hours to the high-value tasks (strategy, content, and guest relations) that truly help your project grow.

Beyond my professional life and my love for active sports, I am deeply passionate about holistic health, wellness, and inner peace. I practice meditation regularly and have even completed a Vipassanā retreat, which taught me a lot about mindfulness and staying grounded. Because of this, I bring a very calm, focused, and positive energy to any house or project I join.

Since I am traveling alone, I truly value the community aspect of Workaway. I consider myself an excellent housemate: I am very organized, tidy, and I deeply respect everyone's personal space and downtime.

However, when the workday is done, I am always up for sharing a good cup of coffee, having deep, meaningful conversations, or just enjoying a relaxed evening sharing travel stories and good laughs.
