Description

Hello! We’re Chloé and Pierre, a 33-year-old couple from the Valais region of Switzerland (Crans-Montana area). After years of working in environmental science, teaching, and hands-on roles—from field research and classroom guidance to mechanical and chemical operations—we’ve decided to take a well-deserved break. We would like to reconnect with nature, rediscover ourselves, and share our enthusiasm and skills with welcoming hosts through Workaway.


We both hold a deep bond with animals and the natural world.
Chloé is an environmental biologist and teacher with extensive experience in working with animals—from horse riding and training to caring for birds, reptiles, and dogs. As a passionate botanist and avid mountain hiker, she’s ready to explore new ways to connect with nature.
Pierre brings his hands-on experience from working in diverse fields, loves spending time outdoors, and has been a dedicated dogsitter since 2020. Whether it’s hiking, gaming, or enjoying the charm of medieval markets, he loves engaging in activities that celebrate nature and community.
Traveling as a family with our Maine Coon cat and our dog, we’re excited to contribute our skills, energy, and warm personalities to projects that bring us closer to nature and give us the space to heal and grow.
We’re both reliable, and have a respectful yet warm approach to work and life. While Chloé tends to be introspective and detail-oriented—always striving for thoroughness—and Pierre is a grounded, active, and friendly individual, we share an open-minded attitude and love for adventure. We value mutual support, genuine connection, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that let us learn and grow together.

What We Can Offer
Animal Care: From walking and caring for dogs to horse riding and handling various animals, we’re experienced and compassionate in animal care.
Practical Skills: Our combined backgrounds include excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on experience in both physical labor (e.g., landscape maintenance, mechanical work) and academic settings (environmental research, teaching, and project management).
Organizational and Educational Experience: Chloé’s expertise in environmental science and teaching complements Pierre’s reliability and diverse work experience. Together, we’re organized, adaptable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.
Language Skills: We are fluent in French, proficient in English, and have basic knowledge of German—ensuring smooth communication in multilingual environments.
