Description
🌿 A HOME ALONG THE WAY
Nature, friendship and simple living in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador
We are human beings who believe in love, friendship, kindness, solidarity and sharing.
We believe that we are only passing through this world, and that what truly matters is the mark we leave behind — first in people's hearts, and then in the material things we create.
We enjoy sharing, talking, learning from others and helping each other.
This place began as a personal dream.
A small piece of land surrounded by tropical nature, where we can build, grow, learn and share with people from different parts of the world.
It is still a work in progress.
It is not a finished project. It is a dream that is growing little by little.
Here, we would like to create a place where travelers can slow down, disconnect from the constant noise of technology and reconnect with something simpler:
🌱 the earth
🌿 plants
🌧️ rain
🔥 fire
🦋 animals
👣 walking
💬 conversation
❤️ human connection
We work with our hands and take care of the land. Depending on the season and your interests, you may help with gardening, plants, natural spaces, small construction or repairs, painting, trails, camping areas, cacao and banana plants, or other things that need attention.
Sometimes we work in the nursery, propagate plants, prepare natural soil and organic fertilizers.
Sometimes we work around the camping area, improving trails, creating signs, painting or making spaces more welcoming.
And sometimes we work with cacao — from caring for the trees and harvesting the fruit to processing the cacao and making chocolate.
You don't need to know how to do everything.
Maybe you know how to build, paint, garden, cook or repair things.
Maybe you are creative.
Or maybe you simply enjoy working with your hands and learning something new.
Everyone has something to share.
But this experience is not only about work.
We also want to share life.
A walk through the forest.
A conversation around the fire.
A meal together.
Learning about tropical plants.
Discovering Tsáchila culture.
Making chocolate.
Sharing stories from different countries.
Maybe you will learn something from us.
Maybe we will learn something from you.
And perhaps, along the way, we will become friends.
🌎 A dream that wants to grow
This is still a small, personal project.
But we dream that, little by little, it can become a small community of people who value nature, simplicity and human connection.
Less noise.
Less screen time.
Less hurry.
More nature.
More conversation.
More friendship.
More life.
We don't want to build only a beautiful place.
We want to create a place where people feel welcome.
A place where someone coming from far away can feel, even for a few days, a little bit at home.
A place where we can leave a footprint on the land...
but most importantly, a good memory in the hearts of the people who pass through here.
🌿 This is our home along the way.
And the dream is still growing.
Maybe you can become part of it. ❤️ -

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
What can you take with you from this experience?
We believe that a cultural exchange is not only about what you do, but also about what you take with you when you leave.
During your time here, you can experience a different side of Ecuador — not as a tourist, but through everyday life, nature, food, work and human connection.
You may learn about:
🌱 Tropical plants, gardening and organic farming
🍫 Cacao, banana and other tropical crops
🌿 Medicinal and aromatic plants
🌳 Caring for the land and creating natural spaces
🏡 Simple and sustainable ways of living
But perhaps the most valuable part is what happens beyond the practical skills.
You can share meals, conversations, walks, traditions and everyday moments with us. You can discover Ecuadorian culture, learn about local life and experience the relationship between people, plants and the land.
We hope this experience gives you time to slow down, disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature and with other people.
You may leave with new skills.
You may leave with a different understanding of Ecuador.
You may leave with a few new ideas about how you want to live.
And hopefully, you will leave with good memories, a friendship and a little piece of this place in your heart. ❤️ -
