Hi! I'm Chiara, 25 years old, from Rome, Italy.
I'm a cheerful, friendly and open-minded person who loves connecting with people from different cultures. I work in a child neuropsychiatric rehabilitation center, supporting children with neurodevelopmental and emotional challenges — a job that has taught me patience, empathy, and creativity.

I've always had a passion for backpack travel and truly enjoy immersing myself in the local life of the places I visit. I love discovering new perspectives, sharing stories, and being part of authentic experiences.

In my free time, I enjoy drawing, working with ceramics, and photography. I’m a creative soul, but also practical and adaptable — I grew up between the city and the mountains, surrounded by nature and animals, so I feel at ease in all kinds of environments.

This would be my first time using Workaway, but I’ve already taken part in other volunteer experiences in the past. I’m excited to keep learning, helping out, and meeting wonderful people along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience working with children of different ages, including those with special needs, thanks to my job in a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation center. I'm very patient and empathetic, and I genuinely enjoy listening to others and offering support when needed.
Over the years, I’ve taken part in various volunteer projects, which helped me develop a strong sense of teamwork, adaptability, and responsibility. I’m also good at staying calm and finding practical solutions in unexpected situations — I always try to keep a positive attitude.
I love spending time with animals and feel very comfortable caring for them. In my free time, I enjoy singing, being creative, exploring new places, and connecting with different ways of life.
I also love cooking and trying out new recipes and cuisines from different cultures — especially when shared with others.
In terms of languages, I speak Italian (native), English and Spanish fluently, and I understand and speak some French.

I believe that being open, curious, and kind are some of my biggest strengths.
