Looking for future retirement locations. Somewhere warm! I work as a landscape designer and contractor in Chicago. Fit, fun DIY-er, good cook (vegetarian), ecological restoration volunteer.
Description
Active, fit, vegetarian looking for cultural exchanges as I explore where I might like to live in the future. I currently work full time as a landscape designer and contractor in Chicago and want to investigate international destinations to get a sense of real life in other parts of the world. I feel that Workaway offers the type of immersive experiences that I can't get as a tourist staying in hotels. My experiences so far have exceeded my expectations.
I can offer expertise in landscape design and construction and have experience in gardening, ecological restoration projects, and other landscape/building-oriented or outdoor activities. I have an outgoing personality, professional demeanor, good sense of humor, as well as being open-minded, industrious, and a good cook. I enjoy learning about history and other cultures, nature, hiking/exploring sustainability.
I would like to learn more about permaculture, organic farming, hydroponics, arboriculture, and straw bale construction.
No vices, but a strong penchant for a good cup of java in the morning. I find a reason to smile and be grateful everyday.
