Hi! My name is Camila, and I’m Uruguayan/ American.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of going on a long journey to explore new places, meet people from different cultures, and connect more deeply with myself. I’ve finally made that dream come true—I've been traveling around Europe since March and plan to continue indefinitely while working remotely for a financial company.

A little about me: I'm very family-oriented and the oldest of four sisters. I absolutely love animals—I have a 9-year-old cat named Asia and a dog named Bono, who has special needs due to an accident that affected his mobility. They are my babies, and being away from them is the hardest part of traveling, which is why I’m especially excited about opportunities to care for animals along the way.

I have a degree in International Business, and while I used to be passionate about CrossFit (I trained and competed for 8 years), these days I stay active through hiking and other outdoor activities. I love nature, sports, and discovering new places on foot—and I’m still hoping to learn how to snowboard during this trip!

I’m new to Workaway and really looking forward to learning, sharing experiences, and connecting with people in this wonderful community. 😊

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My mother runs one of the largest non profit cat rescue in Uruguay, @catitos.uy. Through our home shelter we have rescued thousands of animals, mostly cats, dogs, rabbits, opossums, chickens and roosters, etc. As any shelter, it is like a hospital, we take care of injured and malnourished animals, we receive abused animals directly from governments entities and care for them until we find a home.
