Hello, I'm Caro!

I'm 33 years old and live in Leipzig. I would describe myself as empathetic, open-minded, and communicative, and I love spending my time outdoors in nature. Traveling and hiking are among my greatest passions, whether in the mountains or by the sea. Nine years ago, I spent a year in Australia, where I not only traveled as a backpacker, but also worked as a Workawayer. There, I mainly did gardening, minor house and maintenance work, household chores such as food preparation, and took care of animals such as chickens and dogs. I really enjoyed working outdoors, and I don't mind getting dirty.

Today, I want to continue my journey, experience something new, and learn more about sustainable lifestyles, permaculture, and environmentally conscious farming. Workaway seems like the perfect opportunity to do just that while getting to know new people and cultures. I look forward to contributing my knowledge and experience while learning a lot at the same time.

I am hardworking and energetic, and always open to new adventures and challenges. I enjoy being around people, but also appreciate quiet moments alone to recharge my batteries. In my free time, I like to do sports and yoga. I speak German and English, and a few years ago I started learning Spanish, which I would now like to continue studying.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied law and currently work as a lawyer, but in addition to my profession, I also have many practical skills that I have developed throughout my life, in various part-time jobs, during a year abroad in Australia, and through volunteer work.

In Australia, I traveled as a backpacker and workawayer, where I took on many different tasks, including:

Gardening: Weeding, planting,tending to flower beds, soil cultivation e.g.
Housework: Cooking, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Painting: Painting walls and wood paneling.
Caring for animals such as dogs and chickens (Feeding, cleaning, etc.)

I also gained experience in the restaurant industry there and in previous part-time jobs—as a waitress, kitchen assistant, and behind the bar.

I also help my mother and friends in the garden from time to time and can also do smaller manual jobs such as painting.

In my free time, I also do volunteer work. For example, in an association that teaches (refugee) women how to ride a bike and at the “Life Initiative,” which supports people who need bureaucratic help.

I have very good organizational skills, am structured, helpful, empathetic and communicative. I like to pitch in and enjoy helping others.

  I am allergic to cats. But it only does bother me if i have to sleep with them in the same room. If they are just around, its fine.
