Hi Workaway community! I am 28 years old and have been travelling for the last 3 years since I graduated. I am hard-working and sociable, with a keen interest in people and culture– my dream is to work and live in a global society and connect with people across the world. I am a dedicated feminist and enjoyed studying Italian literature and gender theory at university. I believe in the power of education, I have worked in two universities in London and at a school in rural Thailand. The things that inspire and bring me peace and joy in life are beaches, fields, forests, sunshine, good books, animals, and meaningful conversations. I try to live a life that feeds both my body and my mind, and workaway seems a wonderful environment in which to do both.

I will be travelling in Australia for the next months! I would love to work with animals, be involved with community projects, and experience the local culture.

I have experience working/volunteering in the following roles/areas:
- permaculture woofing and regenerative agriculture farm hand (including working with chickens, buffalo, goats)
- hostel front desk, workshop coordinator, and cafe/bar staff
- copywriting, marketing, web design for universities and museums
- English teacher to children 5-12 years old
- distribution of food and basic resources for a homelessness charity

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am young, fit, and practical so with a teacher or some guidance I am happy to take on any manual tasks in and outside the house! I enjoy cooking and cleaning and have experience working in bars, supermarkets and restaurants, as well as cleaning a bed and breakfast and am able to carry and move heavy objects. I have a driver's license. I also have professional experience writing articles and managing websites and social media pages. I am always interested and open to earning new skills, and I am a fast learner!

I like baking and enjoy trying out recipes for different cakes! I can do traditional recipes and gluten free and vegan too :-)
