Despues mucho mucho trabajo fuerte, quiero regreso sur y voyer a El Salvador!
I have over a decade of construction experience and am highly skilled at: Carpentry, Concrete forming, pouring and finishing, Drywall o tabla jeaso, Painting, as well as Landscaping, gardening y estoy super bien con un machete.
Cuando yo trabajo en Guatemala a Lago de Atitlan en un pueblito San Marcos a Hostel Del Lago tengo mucho projectos. I built a 14' tall wall on a second storey with wood, steel framing, insulated it, drywalled it, plastered/mud, sanded and painted with a team of 3 volunteers that I managed.
This past summer I worked in Canada as a Carpenter on Custom-homes and multi-million dollar cottages. I framed houses, built decks, did finishing trim, door and window jams and much more. I also have my certificates to drive heavy machinery like a skid steer, man-lift, and excavator.
I plan on riding my motorbike from Belize to El Salvador to work, surf, practico mi espanol y trabajo sur cuando es muy muy frio en Canada.
I am seeking a host that engages me physically as well as creatively and mentally. I have learned that in order to harness my boundless energy I need something engaging and challenging to focus on to put my energy in to.
Update: Last Winter I spent 4 months in Mexico at two separate workaways. I had such an amazing time and fell in love with surfing that I am looking for workaways so I can come back again this year! At the first workaway I built stairs, worked on some plumbing for showers/bathroom and tilled and planted an organic garden. At the second in Sayulita I was mainly trail building for mountain bikes but also worked in the surf/bike rental shop and did some handyman stuff around the volunteer house including building some shelving, installing a water filter and hooking up electricity for the volunteers tents. My goal is to improve my surfing as well as share my skills because it was very rewarding to take part in projects that are lasting. Hello! My name is Cam! I am 28 years old from Ontario, Canada. I am a fun loving person that loves making the people around me laugh, I believe it can be the best medicine and helps cheer up a friend that's down or even help with an awkward situation or language barrier!
I am a university graduate who worked his way through school performing jobs with skills that I learned from doing construction, renovations and landscaping with my father's contracting company from a young age. I have worked with my hands since I was a teenager and then went to business school and graduated with a bachelor's of business administration and a specialization in entrepreneurship so I have a wide range of skills. Also I am currently working in construction so my skills range from Labour, construction, landscaping and painting to business development skills such as business planning and grant writing, social media and online marketing/communications as well as presentation and business pitching skills. I have always wanted to travel to Mexico and am already a lover of the food and drinks that originate there and am seeking to experience the real thing and truly immerse myself in a culture I think I already love.
