Travelling to South America from November!
I’m looking for a workaway in Uruguay for the end of November and into December. Afterwards I plan to cross through Argentina and head down to southern Chile

Backpacking in Europe and soon….South America
I left Australia in February and travelled overland (and sea) to Aktau, Kazakhstan. After a flight across the Caspian Sea I’ve resumed my “no flights” style of travelling across Europe. I will arrive by ship in South America in November.
I’m looking for a workaway for the end of November and December in Uruguay :)
If I don’t respond during November it could be because I am on a ship heading to Uruguay and won’t have internet.
I generally mix it up between camping and hiking and workaways.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

At home I work as a music teacher. I teach cello and piano primarily. When I am abroad I generally like to do outdoor workaways. Any kind of fruit picking or gardening, dog walking, land clearing…

I travel with my tent. I don’t mind sleeping in it if you don’t have any accomodation to offer.

I’m happy to cook, I’m best at cooking Indian food.

At home one of my hobbies is sewing (I make my own clothes), so if you happened to need any sewing done I can help with this.


I have a Bachelor of IT(computer science)/Bachelor of Arts(ancient history), so may be able to provide some IT assistance.


In the past my experience includes...
- 2 week workaway in the Dordogne, France doing gardening.
- 2 week workaway in rural Bulgaria mainly clearing a very overgrown yard, harvesting grapes and other fruit and vegetables, walking a husky.
- 1.5 weeks workaway in Langkawi, Malaysia on a small island helping with outdoor tasks
- 2 week workaway in Kedah, Malaysia at a campsite (lots of raking leaves and doing laundry)
- 2 week workaway in Siantar, Sumatra: dogs and gardening, using ecobricks
-2 week workaway in Takengon, Sumatra: English teaching
- dog sitting/house sitting in remote Romania
-3 week workaway in Gjipe, Albania picking olives, help around camp (cooking, chopping fire wood, collected firewood, collecting rubbish) and working on proposal to protect the area
-1 month workaway in Bugoynes Norway working at a sauna/souvenir shop
-2 week workaway near Paphos, Cyprus on a small farm picking flowers and leaves
-teaching cello/piano/music theory
-coaching gymnastics
-working in after school care
-working on various conservation projects/animal rehabs/sanctuaries, including a lot of cleaning, general management of cages/enclosures, hands on experience including feeding/creating enrichment, also educating tourists/the community
-construction experience on volunteering project in the Bolivian jungle, a total of about 7 months living in the Bolivian jungle volunteering at an animal rehab/sanctuary
