Description

Life is short and one never knows what can happen so I appreciate everything and take nothing for granted..I´ve had this attitude my whole life. Just want to try get the most out of life and leave something behind, be it affecting people in a positive way or leaving something behind for people to enjoy..being it practical or a service. Happiness for me is a good braai (barbeque) with family and friends. Doing something which I enjoy as a job and still able to pay the bills! I have been pretty lucky so far and not easy but worth it. My sport/love of sport, and hobbies have been my saving grace. Simple things like a ´sundowner´ on the beach after a swim, walking in nature, giving affection to our beloved dogs/cats, etc. cost nothing but bring alot of joy.

I´m just interested in the world really and like to communicate when I travel and seem to have the aptitude and discipline to learn a new language. I am not an English teacher but do have a TEFL certificate and can teach in general/have that ability to impart my knowledge..

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am good with people, and self-motivated to work on my own/don´t need much direction and always wiling to learn more....prefer to work with a smaller team. I am a fit 56 year old and my first proper vocation, after doing all the normal jobs, was starting my own small business as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Can´t work behind a desk! I like working with my hands/coming up with ideas,etc. and can turn my hand to most things. My main thing which I also leaned towards was doing traditional wooden boatbuilding in New Zealand and England. Also did dog-walking and was a Countryside Ranger in Hampshire. I grew up on the Atlantic-seaboard in Cape Town, South Africa, doing scuba-diving, boating and fishing. I can also do garden work..know abit since working on our Portuguese farmhouse and garden, but no expert.
