My name is Bex, I'm 29 years old and I'm from New Zealand. I am a born creative with a particular love for fashion and fashion photography. Creating is what inspires me and lights my fire. I have a Bachelor of Design (First Class Honours), majoring in Photography and have recently completed a Masters in Design with Distinction.

My friends and family would describe me as bubbly, vivacious, very talkative ( you can hear my laugh before you see me kind of girl), glass half full perspective, loyal, ambitious, big-hearted, optimistic and the life of the party (they actually said these things, haha). I am very close with my family and have amazing friends who have been in my life for a long time. I'm going to miss them all dearly but they know that going on this adventure overseas is what I need to do at this time in my life.

The last time I travelled to Europe was 15 years ago with my family. I'm more than ready to come back and explore more of its beauty by myself. I want to spend the remaining months of my 20's and start of my 30's going on an incredible and life-changing adventure where I can push myself to do things I never thought were possible. I'm ready to meet people from different walks of life who I can learn from and experience their cultures, whilst creating truly unforgettable memories that will stay with me forever.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have 10+ years experience as a freelance photographer. I have worked as a Retail Assistant, Hairdressing Assistant, Receptionist, Front of House, Nannying, Booking Manager, Social Media Manager, Marketing Manager and a Teaching Assistant. I am adaptable from having experience in a lot of different areas.

I love to connect with people and find my personality is very well suited to do so. I am fiercely driven with a dedicated work ethic. A born creative thinker with a strong attention to detail. I have a very bubbly, positive personality - a true people person who is capable of working with a wide variety of personalities and most of all, making the collaborative experience an enjoyable one.

I love to cook and would absolutely love to be taught how to make authentic meals from the country I'm staying in. As a photographer, I am SO excited to be able to take photos at every chance I can get. I love music and play the guitar (I haven't played for awhile so I'm a little rusty), so would love to see some live music. I have played Football since I was 5 so would love the chance for a kick around with anyone who's interested.

I love the beach and can't wait to swim in different waters, whether that be lakes, rivers or the sea. I love movies and tv shows. My favourite way to end the night is watching a good film or binge a new series. I love animals. I've grown up with a 17 year old tabby cat called Dex who I love with all my heart, as well as a new addition to the family - a 9 month old Border Terrier called Bob, after my late Grandad who is a ball of energy and pure happiness in dog form.

What I'm most excited for is to be immersed in my workaway's families lives and have the opportunity to become part of the family. If you suggest it, I will do it. I want to be a YES person whilst away on this trip. But most importantly, I want to learn everything about your life and hear any and all stories you are willing to share. I love to talk but I am also a great listener and am so eager to learn and grow from you.
