Hello:)
My name is Beke. I am 19 years old. I live in the Netherlands in the beautiful city Nijmegen. For the past year and a half, I have been studying to become a primary school teacher. I love being around children and looking at the world through their eyes. last semester, I did a specialization course called "Outdoor Education." This allows me to combine two of my passions: working with children and nature.

My parents took me to a lot of beautiful places, and introduced me to traveling. Now, I want to go on adventures by myself, meet new people, and learn more about myself. That’s why I’m taking a six-month break from my studie to travel and gain experiences through 'Workaway'.

A little more about me:
I'm a open-minded person. New and different things inspire me and make me courious. I'm an enthusiastic and social person and I enjoy being around people! But I'm also a calm person and I appreciate the time that I spend on my one. I'm responsible and If I do something I wan't to make sure I do it well.
I love animals, I own a dog and a few chickens, I also did horseback riding for eight years. Nature is important to me, so I try to live sustainably and take good care of the environment.
Things I like to do in my free time are:
Being creative, doing things such as painting and writing.
Reading books and listening to music.
Walking outside with my dog.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am motivated to learn new skills. I enjoy helping people and I´m open to a wide variety of tasks. Working together with people is something I really like! Because I have some experience with animals I know a few things about how to take care of them.
At home I volunteer in a botanical garden. I help with maintenance of the garden. There I practiced skills like cutting the long grass with a scythe.

Nature is one of my passions. That´s why I would love to learn new things about nature. About al different kind of things like gardening, herbs and animals.
I would also be interestet in learning how to cook meals from different country´s. At home I enjoy trying new recipes!
