Hello, I am Baylee! Born and raised in a small farmland in Alberta, dirt and nature have become synonymous with my vision of happiness. At 18 years old, I set off on my first adventure where I lived in west Africa for one year where I worked on a few projects (teaching English and building a school). The experience inspired me to go to school and understand western power structures and materialism. In my summer months, I’d head off all over Canada to work camp jobs and teach children the value of nature and healthy risk taking! Following my degree and summer experiences, I began my masters program where I study the benefits of nature on youth and outdoor programs. My adventurous side took over and I paused my masters and am now travelling south east asia.

Hello, I am Daniel! I was born in England and growing up I have always had a strong desire to help others which I found I was able to do through teaching youth. For many years I ran my own kickboxing class for children. In 2018 I moved to Beijing where I worked as an au pair and discovered my love for travel. Since then I have been travelling the world and am always looking for the next exciting oppurtunity to see new places, meet amazing people, and learn new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My experience can be broken into 3 major categories: academics, work, and travel. It is the combination of these three that shape me into the charismatic and determined leader I am today. For one, my honours degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology laid the groundwork for my keen interest in deconstructing power structures and inequality. This led to my second main area, work, in which I dedicated over 8 years to outdoor education for youth. During the school year I would work after school programs and in the spring and summer I would lead groups of youth over the backcountry of beautiful Alberta Rockies where I would teach them how to set up camp and live in the wilderness for 8 days. Eventually, in 2021, I went further and became a tree planter near the Yukon in Canada which taught me strength and determination in some of the hardest working conditions. Finally, travel has always played a major role in my skills and experience. At 18 years old, I spent just under a year in Ghana (West Africa) where I taught English to children for 3 months and then moved deep into the jungle to a small village where I built a school. Hard work, long hours and a couple laughs along the way are the main skills anyone needs to be competent.

Growing up on a farm has shaped the way I think and interact with the world. I place a great deal of value on holistic living - a combination of laughter, adventure and general work is what makes me most satisfied! A cold beer and a game of cards after a hard work week is something I enjoy.
