  Description

  We are small restaurant and art place, have been open for 8 years now. We have mostly returning customers which we are treating like family.
  Please note and mention in your first email about following points (we may not reply if you not mention that)
  1. we are not strictly vegetarian place. We and our staff are not vegetarians. We provide food for different dietary requirements. But we don't like to be judged.
  2. We have a lot of cats, and one of the task is to brush them, keep in mind your allergy.
  
  3. The Bungalow is basic, no hot water, no AC and no fan. Can be insects ( and geko in them and it's only mosquito net there to "protect" you. (Please check the photos. It's before cleaning, after rainy season. But still be prepared) Koh Phayam is not developed island. It's not cars and not many places have a/c or hot water. We come and stay here for nature. Please research island information in advance.
  
  
  1. We had few people (in a past seasons) who applied 2 month in advance and then cancelled there visit, so now we will consider applications max 2 weeks in advance. You can check with us about availability. But we will need your confirmation 2 weeks in advance.
  2. We are team of 4 people. 2 people cooking. 1 cleaning and 1 for service.
  3. We will always prefer applicants who read the whole profile.
  If you did- you need to let us know every mentioned point in the profile.

  A knowledge about different vegetables and fruits growing in Thailand the kind you will never see in the market. You can see how locals are growing ca-shew and other plants.
  You can learn new technics and materials available here. The island is reach on driftwood and wild range of recycling things.

  UPDATE: now we are in the beginning of season, it can be rain and also its humid. Not many customers and not many tourists around. Anyway we bit busy with opening so we don't always have time to check if you do your job correctly.
  
  In your first email mention what tasks you feel comfortable about doing. Please note: for female volonteers we not asking do heavy lifting or heavy garden jobs, if you a male- we will expect you to be able to help us with some heavy things. We would expect you to know how to use hammor and saw.
  
  Cleaning and separate garbage for recycling (that's every day),
  Construction (if you know how), repairs and clean after.
  Some garden heavy jobs (also every day).
  Sawing. ( If you know how)
  Drawing (if you know how)
  
  So. You need to check about your feelings and let us know if you think you are right kind of person for it.
  
  We are looking for people who want to be useful and can be find the job themselfs. We need to know what's you feel comfortable doing and what you have experience with.
  The jobs you may pick from.
  1.We need help in the garden: clean the place, watering the plants, lots of weeding, making the garden beds and put fertilizer or compost.
  3.We need a help with construction, nailing, mixing concrete. Also we need help with fixing existing furniture. Making clay oven. Polishing wood. And similar
  4. We need help with general maintenance of the place. You need to clean room and toilet yourself. Separate garbage.
  
  Please note we looking for a people who can pick up there own job, see what need to be fixed and do it, we don't like to tell people what they need to do next. We can provide general information about what we need and tools to do it. Then it's up to your creativity. We will have 5 days triel period if you not feel comfortable or the rest of the team not feel comfortable you must leave.

  Koh Phayam is a small island. Not spoiled by mass tourism. No cars and no big shops. No big loud karaokes bar.
  Limited electric.
  Not a luxury island, most types of accommodation are bunglaow out of bamboo. No air conditioner or hot water.
  Most of the island is a plantations and some jungles. Have 2 big beaches and they are fantastic also have few small ones which are nice and private.
  Tourists are mainly chill and friendly. Different age.
  Locals are friendly and helpful.
  Lots of nature and wildlife. If you afraid better to stay away from it.

  Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads

  It's gonna be bean bag for sitting and no table. You will have your bungalow porch. If chair and table needed- we may find some. You also can sit in restaurant area For WiFi. It's a good sim card connection in the area. But WiFi doesn't reach the bungalow, and cover restaurant area only. If you ok with working surrounding by people you can use it, otherwise you need to have your own SIM card.
