Description

My name is Arwen and I live in the Swiss countryside.
After finishing school, I completed an apprenticeship as a gardener, so I am very interested in Plants and nature. I worked as a gardener for two years, and now I am training to become a social pedagogue because I really enjoy supporting people in various life situations. In my free time, I love hiking, camping and gardening, regardless of the weather. I also care for a foster horse, play the piano, and enjoy sewing and crafting. I am happiest, when I am in nature, around animals or spending time with children while creating positive experiences.
I consider myself a calm and balanced person who stays cool under pressure. I am helpful, reliable, and flexible. I am not very demanding in the workplace and am always willing to help wherever needed.
It was always my dream to travel to Ireland and explore the beautiful landscape there. And if I can also work, serve and help someone, while getting to know thu culture, all the better.
Although I don’t have any workaway experience yet, I am excited about this adventure and very motivated to learn new things and explore different ways of life. Looking forward to connecting with new people and sharing wonderful moments together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As I did an apprenticeship as a gardener, I really like working outside in the garden whatever the weather. Whether it's preparing the beds, sowing, planting, weeding or harvesting, I enjoy all this work.
At home, my family and I have a large garden with perennials, where I was able to gain experience.
I'm currently training to be a social pedagogue and work in a home for people with disabilities. I therefore have experience of working with different people and responding to their needs.
I also have three younger siblings who I used to look after, so I am used to caring for children and taking responsibility.
I really like children and enjoy doing things with them or accompanying them wherever they need help.
I also love working with animals. I have a grooming horse which I often care for, move and feed and of course also clean its stable.
At home I like to help around the house and cook for the family, so I have some experience in this area too.

But of course there are many things I don't know yet and I am very motivated to learn new things.
