Ciaooooo everyone! We are Arianna and Catalin, a couple living in the Netherlands.

Arianna is currently studying Mechanical Engineering. After trying for a while to settle down, she finally decided to follow what she truly loved and found the courage to start studying engineering. She has travelled a lot in the past for studies, work and volunteering activities in Lebanon, Japan, France, the UK, Spain and Hawaii. This is not her first experience on Workaway: she worked on permaculture projects in Spain, babysat four boys in Wales, joined a small NGO in Japan restoring nature using the Miyawaki Method, and taught French and Arabic to Syrian refugees in Lebanon. She is a sparkling girl full of energy with endless hobbies, from reading and painting to crocheting and many other creative things. She is very curious, learns quickly and loves discovering new cultures and ways of living.

Catalin used to work as a Retail Department Manager and has lived in Italy, Romania, the UK and Spain. After many years working in a big company, one morning he realized he wanted a different path in life. He decided to follow his passion for cooking and is now working as a chef ! He loves experimenting with recipes from all over the world (and yes, his food is absolutely delicious). He also loves cycling, building things from scratch, hiking in nature and gardening. For the past few years he has also enjoyed growing his own food.

Together we have also had some beautiful Workaway experiences. We volunteered in Bali on a farm working with cacao and durian trees and helping in the rice fields, and in Vietnam where we taught English to children during a summer camp. These experiences made us appreciate even more the value of cultural exchange, simple living and connecting with local communities.

This summer we are planning to travel around the Mediterranean, possibly visiting Sardinia, Spain, Greece or Corsica. More than just travelling, we are looking for an experience that allows us to truly connect with the place, the people and the local culture.
We would love to be part of a project where we can contribute, learn new skills and share experiences. We are especially interested in sustainable lifestyles, gardening, cooking, DIY projects or any activity that involves creativity and working with our hands.
We enjoy a good challenge and we are not afraid of getting our hands dirty. We bring plenty of positive energy, curiosity and good vibes, and we are always happy to help wherever it is needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Arianna is native italian and she speaks french and english fluently. She got a basic knowledge of Spanish and Arabic and she taught languages to foreigners from all ages. She is really good with IT stuff, cooking, writing and she is a very well organized logistic wise.

Catalin is native Romanian and speaks English, Italian proficiently, Spanish and French at a good level. He knows how to valorise and sell any kind of projects. He worked in the hospitaliy sector, he knows ho to make a good cocktail, a great cappuccino, and to cook amazing food. He is great at painting houses has a family background in construction. He takes on board any kind of skill and he never says no to a new challenge.
