Description
Hola! My name is Anthony, I'm a 34 year old Australian traveling with my partner Kat 35 (English) around South America for a few months between November 2026 - May 2027.
I am a qualified carpenter and love working with my hands. I have lots of experience on building sites, working in hotels, hostels and restaurants. I love having a varied workload and learning new skills.
Kat has experience as a play worker, receptionist, carer, housekeeper, youth worker, nanny, support worker. She grew up on a farm in the South West of England, she loves animals and is very creative.
We're both cheerful happy people who love to have a laugh and a joke. We're usually smiling and love interacting with people, hanging out, playing cards or going on adventures.
We're not afraid of abit of hard work and we like to get stuck into projects.
We live an active lifestyle I enjoy hiking, diving, surfing, snowboarding and most outdoor activities. we're always looking for new hobbies to add to the list.
I love workaway because it's a great opportunity to meet locals and other travellers and to get to know a place as more than just a tourist. I find it really rewarding to see someones project come to life or help a well oiled machine continue to run smoothly. -

I filled the maintenance role for a few weeks and had a great time while I was there. The work was not too difficult and I had lots of time to explore the area, I had access to the work car through out my stay so getting to the nearby hikes and lakes was easy. As the establishment we have been working with volunteers for 20 years. I can easily say that AJ was one of the best in our history.
He is doing his job (whatever you give him) perfectly good. His relation and cooperation with the others is also perfect.

I stayed with Andrijana, Nikolai and the kids for two weeks and had a great time. I felt like I was a part of the family from the first day I arrived. I had a nice stay with Emilia and the boys, I was there for just over a week and always had work to do. I installed a sink and clothesline, helped out framing some of Emilia's art work and did some general house maintenance and cleaning. Her son's are lovely and Emilia is a great cook. Can definitely recommend

Our experience with A J. was excellent. He is a hard-working, brave, courageous and easy-going volunteer. We had a wonderful week at the Guinea Pig Farm! When we arrived we were greeted by Oscar, Rocio, relatives from out of town and the smell of a delicious meal cooking in the Kitchen. I had a great time at Jim's place its an absolutely amazing property and Jim has done wonderful job to make it as unique and colourful as he is himself! The work is fair and Jim has all the right tools for the job and is very appreciative of the help. Would definately go back if my travels take me back this way!

Aj was an amazing volunteer who took every job head on. Even though abit rusty Aj strived to accomplish everything in which we gave him to do and accomplished the job at 110%.
