Workaway is how it all started.

Hi, my name is Anna and I am from Germany.

I had my first Workaway experience right after I graduated. I met amazing people, got to know different cultures and learned new prespectives I still benefit from today. It made me want to become a journalist and keep learning new things - and thats exactly what I did. I went to University and studied Journalism. Of course I travelled a lot during that time but never with Workaway because it never really fit in my schedule. So now, that I am done with University I want to start again.

My experiences are definitely in the general field of Media. I studied Journalism, worked on multiple film sets, worked for Social Media companies and designed Websites - and yes, I sit in front of a screen a lot. Maybe this is why I enjoy being outside in nature and making myself usefull so much. Its all about the balance in the end :D

People would describe me as a curious, sociable and empathetic person. I thrive on good social interactions, learning new things and making memories. I love doing sports (as long as it does not involve a ball xd) and will (almost) never say no to whatever random idea comes up.

For years I have been trying to learn Spanish but unfortunately I dont really seem to have a talent for languages. However I would love to meet patient people that practice with me. In return I can teach German or English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I get passionate about new things very easily. Thats why I have started to learn many things in the past. Emphasis on started because there is always the next thing that catches my interest. Especially when it comes to creative tasks I have build an assortment of skills by now. From tailoring to knitting to pottery to woodwork up to more digital skills like graphic design, programming, video editing... you name it.

Right now I am working remotely in Website design and make short promotional videos for some small companies in my home town.
I have also some experiences in interacting with children since my mother used to have a home-based childcare.

I love nerding myself into a new topic or a new skill so even if there is things I do not know how to do yet. As long as someone is willing to show me, I am eager to learn.

As for social skills, I get along with pretty much everyone. People describe me as caring and being a good listener but I am also quite independent and enjoy spending time on my own.
