Hello :)
My name is Anna. Sweet of you to end up at my profile! I’m 22 years old and I come from the Czech Republic (although my roots are scattered around all over Balkan). I’m currently in my third year of studying at a veterinary university.

I have a dog named Ebie, who is a small mix from a shelter. She is such a joyful and kind soul, with a truly unique personality. Even though I flood her with love for almost seven years now, she still struggles with some fears — mainly from extremely loud and chaotic places like the city. That gave me an opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of dog communication and from there to communication between all kinds of animals. It was something that made me change my way of viewing the world - ultimately leading to deeper understanding of others. Not only animals but also human beings - because I do think that in our core, in our needs and feelings we are just the same. That lead me to nonviolent communication which grounds I am currently exploring.

Something that people usually don't know about me is that I am a member of protestant church. They don't know it not because I would hide it but because I do believe that faith in God is something deeply individual (although most beautiful when shared) and I usually talk about it only when the topic is on the table. But then I talk about it with pleasure because God is for me someone who loves me and others entirelly and I love to share this love with others :)

OK, that would be enough food for thoughts from me, don't worry :)

So what can you expect from me? Sarcastic humour, warm smiles, losing track of time when gardening, feeling most happy when I am with animals, deep conversations, admiration of small things and above it all a curiosity about nature (those of human, those of animals and of course those of trees and water and mountains, too).

I started to learn English when I was in the kindergarten, German when I was in third grade at a grammar school and Slovenian just last year. Unfortunately, I rarely get an opportunity to practice any of those languages - so I would be very grateful to use them during my stay. I would also love to share a bit about my mother language and my country.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I spent 3 years at a horse ranch in my hometown. I learned there how to take care of them (cleaning the boxes, grooming,...) but I am most grateful for the experiences from the work with horses. We used innovative metods such as positive communication, working from ground or clicker training.
During Covid-19 I had the opportunity to take care of my own garden. We grew there all kinds of vegetable and herbs and we even built a small greenhouse.
Every year I am spending a three weeks on summer camp surrounded woods. We don´t have any stable building, just special tents and teepees. Week before children comes we renovate and rebuild the whole camp, therefore I am used to work with saw and axe.
Last year, I had my first volunteer experience in Slovakia. We helped at an archeologic important ruin of monastery.
