Hello everyone :) My name is Anna and I am a travel enthusiast! I have been to almost 20 countries and want to keep adding to the list. I love learning about new cultures and seeing how the world works in different places. When I am not traveling, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my friends and family, reading the Bible or historical fiction, and baking yummy treats. Learning is something I always try to do, whether that be a fun fact, a new hobby, or a helpful skill. In my opinion, it is good to have mental and physical challenges, and I welcome both! I hope that I can use WorkAway to acquire new knowledge, meet new people, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a variety of skills, and I'm always willing to learn more.

- English is both my native language and also a hobby. I have an excellent knowledge of the grammar, and I also enjoy learning more exotic words and interesting vocabulary to make my speech more enticing and descriptive.
- I have a family member who has lived with chronic pain on and off for my entire life. This has taught me a lot about caregiving. I love spending time with the elderly and also helping new mothers or others in need. Whether that be administering medication, answering questions on repeat, creating a comfortable environment both physically or emotionally, or simply listening to stories, I have an eye for helping others.
- My family lived on a farm for several years, which taught me how to tend animals and manage outdoor tasks. I enjoy manual labor and doing hard physical tasks.
- I am an accountant from University, and financial information comes easily to me, having worked in accounting for almost three years.
- Piano is my great love, and I have taught as well as performed piano for roughly 16 years now. I would love to bring music to your home!
- Cooking is something I have done from a very young age. I enjoy creating recipes from scratch, cooking different cuisines, and also sometimes following a family favorite recipe.
- Organizational skills have always come naturally to me. I have planned and organized three international trips (for several people), created a meal plan for a week long trip of 10 people, and managed a team of 5 people at a summer camp. I also enjoy organizing pantries, closets, and bookshelves, among other things.

Autres infos...

- I grew up in a faith-based home, and carry a high set of moral and ethical values with the Bible as my guide. I will be respectful, courteous, and kind during my stay. With that being said, I kindly ask for Sundays off so that I can go to church. If my host family goes to a church that I want to attend, I am happy to do so together.
- I love singing! Often times I will hum a tune while I am working. I do have vocal training, so it shouldn't be off-key, and I also will stop if the people around me ask, but just beware there will be some music :)
