I have to be honest and say that I thought long and hard about whether to write a review or not. I was there in December 2023 and was generally quite disappointed. I had imagined it to be quite different.
My main task was to clean kennels while the dogs had a short run in different groups in the small yard. That´s fine, but I had hoped to work
… read more with the dogs and focus on adoption. Multiple offers to train the dogs or take them for a walk were turned down. We work every day and only have free time from 12:30 to 16:30. Without your own car, you can hardly get out to see anything else.
In addition, there are also three "house dogs" living in the accommodation where you live as a volunteer. In my opinion, they are poorly socialized / trained. I was bitten by two of them, even though I have experience with difficult dogs, as I have a fearful dog myself, who was unfortunately also bitten and attacked. Not a pleasant experience for me. -text redacted-
The icing on the cake: I was interested in adopting a dog. Everything sounded good, but as soon as I left, my calls and messages were ignored and I never heard from Samira again. I'm sorry, but that's no way to deal with someone...Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

We were here for a total of 3 weeks and had a fantastic time there.
Samira, Basti and Hubert are super friendly, open-minded people who do everything for the well-being of the dogs.
The daily routine at the station is a great mix of cleaning, cuddling/training with the dogs and free time. Especially that (almost) no dog is alone in a room and
… read more all dogs together get to spend time in the outside area is great! We started at around 8am until approximately 1pm, with a break for breakfast. After 1pm we had another break in which we had enough time to visit the beach (5 min by car) or Nikiti (also 5 min by car) for a few hours and come back for the next shift which starts at 5pm until around 7pm.
We had a large room just for ourselves. We shared the bathroom, the kitchen and the common room with Basti, which was no problem at all. All rooms as well as the whole station was very neat and clean. We can only recommend everyone to come. We had an incredible time with the dogs!

Misha helped us out at our dog shelter for around three weeks. He is friendly and affable. He mainly supported us with manual tasks and did them very well. He is very technically gifted and we are grateful for his help.

I was at Samira and Basti's Place for 2 Weeks and they are doing a realy great Job. They realy care about the dogs and want to make their lives better. I was able to help them with some DIY Projects, Repairing some Fences and some Maintenance.
Nikiti is not so far away and sometimes you can take the Car to Drive to a nice Beach close by. I wasn't

The only Downsides are you need to take the backdoor when the "bad dogs" are out and you have alot of time alone in the evening if you are the only Workawayer there, so bring a book or something. It was a good experience and i want to recommend to all the dog lovers to visit them.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I helped at the dog shelter in Nikiti for almost one month and I really enjoyed my time there. Samira and Basti are both great people with a lot of knowledge and dedication. They were very welcoming and it almost felt like a second home. My tasks consisted of feeding and playing with the dogs, cleaning their rooms, washing/ hanging dog blankets,

I was also able to borrow the car during lunch breaks if no one else needed it, so I was able to discover some of the beautiful beaches in the area. I will hopefully and happily come back next year!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Katrin worked at our dog shelter for over one month and was a great support for our team. She is very committed and helped us even more than initially requested. She exudes a lot of joy at work and you can tell her huge love for animals. Besides that she is very motivated, she has some really great english skills too. We really enjoyed the time
… read more with her and definitely recommend her, because she is a huge support for every team. We wish you all the best and of course we would be very happy if our paths will cross again in the future.

We visited for two weeks in March 2022. Together with our dog and our camper van we had an absolutely fantastic time. Samira and Basti from the shelter are really open minded, friendly and welcoming hosts who have a huge heart for animals. The area of the shelter is really big (a lot of space for the dogs) and it is very important for them to keep
