Description

We are two Kiwis, quit our jobs in NZ to move to Norway- a dream of ours for a long time!
We are both passionate about being outdoors, being most at home in the mountains or the ocean. Also very interested in cultures, food and learning new and different things.
We are both well travelled, easy going and social. Big coffee lovers and enjoy a good beer after a days work (or even without a days work ;))

Russell is a Mechanical engineer, loves to solve problems and figure out how things work - while running off skiing, surfing or kitesurfing when he gets the chance. Sailing has also been a huge part of Russell's life, spending most of his life on the family yacht or racing yachts (sometimes teaching it too) at every opportunity he could. Always wanting to learn something new and is therefore very excited to share skills on Workaway and be a complete beginner at something again!

Angela grew up in what we call the 'wops' (middle of nowhere) of NZ, on a farm/large patch of native bush. She enjoys plants, animals and everything outdoors. In saying that, she also really enjoys creating things, reading a good book and 'relaxing' with a surf, kite or ski.
After a childhood in 'the bush' she left for Europe and spent a few years there travelling, working and learning German.

Hoping to share some of our skills, make some connections and learn new things along our way!

Angela has worked as a teacher for English as a foreign language previously and has her TEFL certification. Russell has great English, as a native speaker, and can teach about all things NZ culture :)
