Hi,
I'm Amélie 31yo physiotherapist from Belgium.
On my 30th birthday I decided to leave everything behind and to go on a solo adventure. I bought a one-way ticket to Australia and have been having the most amazing time exploring this beautiful country.
I love being in nature. I love to hike, I love to take a dip in the ocean and I'm obsessed with sunrises and sunsets. I can't get enough of them, they keep on amazing me and I hope they'll continue doing so for the rest of my life.
I'm an energetic, enthusiastic, social person that also loves some quiet time sometimes and loves learning new things.
I'm looking to be part of a community/family/way of life during my stay and hoping to learn some things from some passionate people
I love doing active labour with my hands rather than being stuck inside somewhere.
I'd still love to learn all about sustainable living, farm work, gardening and so much more.
I also still really hope to learn to surf somewhere if possible.

I've always been very interested in languages, since a young age. Travelling thought me that knowing multiple languages is important to be able to communicate well with many people. I would still love to add some languages to the list in the future.

I'm very independent and good at figuring stuff out, but I also greatly appreciate people teaching/explaining me new things.
Although I don't have the most experience with crafting tasks, I really would love to learn to do a lot.
Abilities:

- cleaning and general household
- weeding and planting (we used to have a vegetable garden at home)
- I'm very good with kids. My brother has 3 kids and I look after them very often

As mentioned I love running (I recently ran the Melbourne Marathon), I also love cycling and have been missing my bike here a bit.
I'm always up for a hike, especially if it's a su rise or sunset hike ;)
I also like playing boardgames
I love music, unfortunately wasn't given the musical gift....but you'll find me listening to music very often.

Their property is so beautiful and peaceful right at the foot of Mt Taranaki, working there was an absolute pleasure.
They are such nice people that really want you to enjoy your stay and get to know the area. They help you find the right tracks and trails to do.

They don't ask for too much and you get plenty of time to enjoy the amazing area of Blackheath in the afternoon. They can tell you all about the most recommended hikes.
