Hi everyone!
I am Alexis (23M), a French-Canadian currently completing a master’s in financial engineering.
I’m reliable, hardworking, but always with a big smile on my face. I love learning, pushing myself, and exploring new ideas or new skills. I’m curious by nature and a bit of a problem-solver at heart. Whether it’s fixing something that’s falling apart, learning how to mend my clothes (I recently started sewing), or figuring out a clever solution during a board game, I enjoy understanding how things work and making them better.

I grew up in an agricultural family, which gave me a deep appreciation for nature, rural life, and practical problem-solving. That background also shaped my strong interest in sustainable and eco-friendly development, something I care deeply about and try to embrace in my daily life.

Outside of that, I’m always up for something active. I love hiking, volleyball, surfing, cooking, and discovering new sports. I tend to be spontaneous, but in a thoughtful way; The kind of person who’s always ready to join an adventure, try something new, or help out.


My WorkAway experiences:
I did my first WorkAway in 2022 in Peru, and it was the best experience of my life. During those months, I fell in love with surfing and its culture. The only problem is: from where I live, it’s at least a six hours drive to go surfing… and long distance relationships never works.

In 2026, I’m looking for a place to reconnect with the surfing world :)

I can teach French, cook, do handy work, work in a garden, repair things (except electronics, but I’m eager to learn), and do painting.

My philosophy:
If I can’t do something right now, give me a day or two and I’ll learn how to do it.
