Description

I joined Workaway as a way to travel more authentically by going off the beaten path, avoiding the tourist spots, meeting locals and experiencing the real culture of the place I'm in. Through my travels and work exchanges I hope to expand my understanding of myself and this world we live in. I am interested in learning more building skills, developing a closer relationship with nature and building friendships in different places with people whose backgrounds are very different than my own.

As a volunteer I believe I have much to offer. I always try to approach everything with an open mind. I am a team player and value clear and open communication. While I do not consider myself highly skilled in any one particular trade or field of study I am always excited to learn new things and I seek constructive criticism so that I may improve. I am always eager to help in whatever way I can.

I am a big animal lover (cats especially) and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and rock climbing. I have always been very interested in the arts from drawing and painting to playing music. I grew up playing the drums and nowadays I am slowly teaching myself to play guitar, bass and keys.

I regretfully do not know any other languages aside from English, but I hope that one day this will not be the case. I like to think I have a very solid grasp on my native language however and am more than happy to help my hosts and fellow volunteers improve their written and spoken English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a fair bit of experience with hand tools and power tools. I'm comfortable working from ladders, on roofs, and carrying heavy objects. I have a strong ability for problem solving and attention to detail. I'm an attentive listener and eager to learn.
