Description

Hello! I’m so excited to get this journey started with Workaway. This will be my first time, but I’m not new to traveling. I’m a pretty adventurous type; always trying new things and checking out new places. The world is so vast and there are so many perspectives and ways of life out there and I find it all so interesting.

I’ve traveled quite a bit, but this isn’t just about travel for me. This is about launching myself into the life that feels authentic for me. It’s about using this incredible community to grow, make connections, learn about how others are elevating their life and purpose, and learning how to do it in my own life.

I love the concept of Workaway and exchanging experiences, knowledge, skills, and perspectives. I’m planning to create some unforgettable memories, make lifelong connections, and expand my mind, while bringing something of lasting value to my host. Man is not made to exist in a bubble and the world is changing in a way that, I believe, makes community and collaboration more important than ever.

Things that really get me going are anything to do with nature, conservation, sustainability, green building, permaculture, orchards, forest gardens, hospitality, animals, history and older ways of doing things, spirituality, wellness, music, sailing, off-grid living, animal rescue, and charity work.

A little bit about my experience: I designed and built a house, so that’s where a lot of my building experience comes in, from planning to finish work. I’ve also lived in a couple older homes where I did some repairs, maintenance, and remodeling. I worked as a landscaper for a couple years, but I also love to work outside for myself and with friends whenever possible. Orchards and gardens will never bore me. I’ve always been an animal lover. All kinds. I especially love horses. I’ve taken riding lessons off and on (English and Western), and boarded my own a couple times.

I bring a reasonable amount of skills, but I am eager to learn more, and tackle whatever tasks you have need of. Let’s talk!
