  About us!!
  
  We are a small, relaxed hostel in a quiet street about 500 meters from the beach.
  Our hostel is surrounded by nature and animals, there are monkeys, iguanas and a lot of different birds hanging by every day. We are known for our social and friendly atmosphere and are looking forward to welcome you into our little hostel family that will make you feel at home away from home. Being a very small hostel, our team is made of the owners and volunteers/workawayers only, which makes the roles much easier as we can support each other and help everyone fulfill their needs and wants. We believe in a good and fun environment based on respect and family principles, so we truly get to enjoy Samara's paradise vibes every single day!
  
  Important before applying:
  
  -We prefer to consider applications made 3 months or less before the dates of availability.
  -Preferable above 25 yrs old.
  -We ask for a minimum of 8 week commitment.
  -We need at least a basic level of English and Spanish. French and German speakers are also great to have around as we have many french and german speakers visiting our hostel.
  -We like people with a positive attitude, willingness to help and a "let's get things done" mindset, but also people that know when and how to relax and share a positive attitude with those around them.

  In exchange you will get a single bed in a 4-Bed dorm and shared bathroom, free usage of our washing machine and all kitchen tools, free coffee as well (we love coffee).
  We are here to share our home, culture and language with you, so if you're looking to broaden your knowledge, we will do everything we can to help you, while you help us, win - win every time!. We guarantee you will leave Costa Rica with a new family and a place to come back to!

  Aide

  We will need your help 25h per week and you will have two days off.
  Helping in our hostel includes:
  
  - Cleaning and preparing the Hostel.
  - Reception work, Check in, Check out, manage reservations.
  - Hosting and taking care of our guests.
  - Keeping a great energy ;)
  
  In addition, you are more then welcome to be creative and have your own ideas or DIYs for the hostel, we love art, creativity and out of the ordinary thinking, show us what you got!

  Hébergement

  The hostel is located just outside downtown Samara, specifically the neighborhood called Cantarrana (singing frog). There is a small supermarket and a restaurant just one block away from the hostel. Walking downtown takes just 10 min, there you will find everything you need such as restaurants, night life, stores, souvenirs, etc.
  We are a small and cozy hostel providing three dormitories, each with 2 bunk beds, no AC but good fans and enough closet space for your belongings.
  There are two big shared bathrooms and a kitchen with everything you need. Our patio area has hammocks and couches, outdoor tables and a BBQ grill right next to our bonfire pit.
  We have abundance of green space, trees, flowers, medicinal plants and local flora and fauna, an early morning spent looking at the surroundings of the place never disappoints, if you open your eyes, nature will show itself to you.

  "Once you come to Samara you always return"
  Samara is a small, charming beach town with everything you need, it has a great atmosphere and is perfect for those seeking connection with nature. Being shaped as a bay, Samara is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, paddle boarding and many other water sports or activities. Nature wise, we are blessed with an amazing location, the jungle is right behind us and there are hikes and waterfalls all over the place, if you want to experience nature, you are coming to the right location.
  Samara is also a popular tourist destination, so you will find many possibilities to enjoy your free time and connect with like minded individuals if so you choose, there are many different tours, some of our favorites are dolphin watching tours, horse back riding through the jungle into the beach and kayaking down the rivers looking for wildlife.
  Downtown you will find quite a bit of life, from people walking around and tanning on the beach, to volleyball and beach football games, there is always something to do or see around here, all you have to do is explore and let the town show itself to you.
