  Description

  EN: Our team is constituted by three friends who are starting a beautiful dream; we are designing and building a Permaculture Institute located in Amalfi, also known as "the land of the jaguar". This region has an incredible biodiversity but at the same time it had suffered some troubles like war, and social issues as a consequence of economic activities as gold mining, illicit crops and deforestation.
  The tribe Tahamíes, was the most important indigenous settlement inside this region, that´s why we decided to call our project, aiming to integrate its legacy and current technologies at the service of the present challenges.
  Today we are working on several integrated iniciatives looking for ecologycal solutions based on Permaculture ethics and design principles, for instance: Animal production systems (goats, turkeys, honeybees, curíes), Agroecological production (organic fertilizers, food sovereignty), Bioconstruction (use of bamboo and earth), Birdwatching and social empowerment.
  The team: Tomás, he was a teacher in beekeeping and 6 years ago he met Permaculture so he decided to dedicate his life to Ecological Systems Design. Jorge Luis is a biologist ichthyologist very interested in conservation of aquatic ecosystems, and Juan José is an Architect and a bird watcher, he is coordinating bioconstruction projects with earth and bamboo.
  
  ES: Nuestro equipo está constituido por tres amigos iniciando un hermoso sueño; estamos diseñando y construyendo un Instituto de Permacultura ubicado en Amalfi, también conocida como "La tierra del jaguar". Esta región tiene una biodiversidad increíble pero al mismo tiempo ha sufrido algunos problemas como la guerra y problemas sociales como consecuencia de actividades económicas como la minería de oro, cultivos ilícitos y la deforestación.
  La tribu Tahamí, fue el asentamiento indígena más importante dentro de esta región, por eso decidimos llamar a nuestro proyecto , con el objetivo de integrar su legado y tecnologías actuales al servicio de los desafíos del presente.
  Hoy estamos trabajando en varias iniciativas integradas que buscan soluciones ecológicas basadas en las éticas y los principios de diseño de la Permacultura, por ejemplo: Sistemas de producción animal (cabras, pavos, abejas, curíes), Producción agroecológica (fertilizantes orgánicos, soberanía alimentaria), Bioconstrucción (uso de bambú y tierra), Avistamiento de aves y empoderamiento social.
  El equipo: Tomás, era profesor en apicultura y hace 6 años conoció la Permacultura por lo que decidió dedicar su vida al Diseño de Sistemas Ecológicos. Jorge Luis es biólogo ictiólogo muy interesado en la conservación de ecosistemas acuáticos, y Juan José es Arquitecto y observador de aves, coordina proyectos de bioconstrucción con tierra y bambú.

  We also do Rapé, an ancestral and spiritual medicine that we can share with you.
  We enjoy to play and interact with music instruments too.

  También disfrutamos tocar e interactuar con instrumentos musicales.

  Aide

  EN: We have daily activities to do (feed the goats, turkeys, curíes, gardening, cooking, cleaning) and special activities (principally bioconstruction and resource management).
  We propose a volunteering where your skills are also included, please let us know about your capacities and preferences.
  It would be valuable for us if volunteers could helps us to get internacional cooperation funds.
  
  ES: Tenemos actividades diarias a realizar (dar de comer a las cabras, pavos, curíes, jardinería, cocina, limpieza) y actividades especiales (principalmente bioconstrucción y manejo de recursos).
  Te proponemos un voluntariado donde también se incluyen tus habilidades, infórmanos de tus capacidades y preferencias.
  Sería valioso para nosotros si los voluntarios pudieran ayudarnos a conseguir fondos de cooperación internacional.

  Hébergement

  EN: We are all sleeping in good tents with conventional mattress in our camping area.
  We have an small solar energy system so we have limited energy access (No refrigerator).
  We guarantee 2 meals for each workawayer every day. We cook traditional food.
  We only use composting toilet.
  
  ES: Dormimos en buenas carpas con colchón convencional en nuestra zona de camping.
  Tenemos un pequeño sistema de energía solar, por lo que tenemos acceso limitado a la energía (sin refrigerador).
  Garantizamos 2 comidas para cada workawayer todos los días. Cocinamos comida tradicional.
  Solo usamos baños de compostaje.

  EN: To stay here you will need:
  1. Swamp boots, they sell a good and cheap ones in the town (10 dolars approx.).
  2. Flashlight

  People from town are kind but some of them could be disrespectful, becareful please, and let us know about any problem.
  Don´t stay on the street beyond 9 pm, it is not safe.
  
  ES: Para hospedarte aquí necesitarás:

  La gente del pueblo es amable, pero algunos pueden ser irrespetuosos, tenga cuidado por favor y háganos saber cualquier problema.
  No te quedes en la calle más allá de las 9 de la noche, no es seguro.
