    Description

    Where the Pacific meets the Adriatic - our project name means wind in Croatian.
    For me, it represents movement, identity and the connection between two worlds: the Pacific Ocean, where I was born, and the Adriatic Sea, where part of my family roots come from.
    is first and foremost my home—a place where nature, thoughtful design and cultural exchange come together.
    Every season brings new ideas, new plants and new improvements. The project is always evolving, and I enjoy sharing that journey with people who genuinely like creating beautiful places. Sometimes the best ideas come from a conversation, a different perspective or a simple detail. If you enjoy contributing ideas—not just completing tasks—you’ll probably feel at home here.

    The Spirit

    I offer a peaceful, safe and welcoming place near Punta de Lobos, surrounded by nature and the ocean.
    In return, I value people who are responsible, respectful, curious and willing to contribute with initiative.
    You don’t need to know everything. A positive attitude, common sense and genuine care for the place matter far more than experience.
    This is a home where people naturally look after their surroundings. We all enjoy living in a space that feels clean, calm and welcoming.

    Typical Projects
    Depending on the season, you may help with:
    * Gardening and landscaping
    * Creating natural paths
    * Caring for native plants, bougainvilleas and fruit trees
    * Simple carpentry and DIY projects
    * Painting and light maintenance
    * Photography and documenting the project’s progress
    * Sharing ideas that help the project continue to grow while respecting the spirit
    Around 4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week, with clear communication, mutual respect and the freedom to contribute creatively.

    Life
    One of the things I enjoy most is sharing everyday life.
    I love discovering recipes from different countries, cooking together, exchanging traditions and learning through food. Chilean, Croatian or from anywhere else in the world—every meal tells a story.
    Some evenings we may cook together, watch a movie outdoors, listen to music, enjoy a good conversation or simply relax after a day’s work while listening to the ocean.
    For me, cultural exchange happens as much around a table as it does in the garden.

    Meet Vuk
    You’ll also meet Vuk, my young Wire Fox Terrier.
    His name means “wolf” in Croatian, and it suits him perfectly: curious, intelligent, affectionate and always interested in whatever is happening.
    He enjoys meeting new people and is an important part of daily life here. If you like dogs, you’ll probably enjoy having him around too.

    Living
    Everyone has their own private space while sharing a relaxed and respectful environment.
    There aren’t many house rules. I simply appreciate people who naturally care for the place they live—keeping shared spaces pleasant, treating the home with respect and contributing to the atmosphere that makes this project special.

    Accommodation
    You’ll have your own comfortable private space on the property, allowing both privacy and independence while still being part of the project.
    The beach is only minutes away, nights are peaceful, and you can often hear the waves from the garden.

    A bicycle is available to explore the surrounding area.
    Before You Apply
    Please tell me:
    * Your available dates
    * Your practical skills
    * Why this project resonates with you
    * Any previous Workaway or similar experience
    * What you hope to gain from this exchange

    I believe the best experiences begin with honesty, respect and shared expectations.
    If the project feels like the kind of place you’re looking for, I’d love to hear your story.
    Welcome to a place where the Pacific begins its symbolic journey toward the Adriatic.

    Travelers will experience a real cultural blend: Chilean hospitality meets Croatian soul in one of the world’s surf capitals.
    You’ll learn about native plants like Carica chilensis (papayas), connect with locals and guests, and enjoy good food, slow moments, and the rhythm of the ocean.
    The project is still young, so every small contribution matters.

    Aide

    I need help with light painting, preparing outdoor spaces, gardening, arranging details, and assisting in receiving the first guests.
    The project is about to open and will evolve in stages. It’s an inspiring, safe and respectful environment, ideal for those who enjoy peaceful nature, surf vibes and simple beauty.

    Cet hôte propose un échange linguistique
    Yes — I’m open to language exchange. I’d be happy to share my Spanish or Croatian, and I’m also curious to learn or practice other languages through casual conversation. I t’s not a formal exchange, but a natural part of the cultural connection.

  • Hébergement

    Hébergement

    Volunteers stay in a peaceful natural setting just a few minutes from the ocean.
    includes a private room or a camping space under old cypress trees, depending on availability. The environment is safe, calm and well maintained.
    Shared amenities such as the hot tub, outdoor cinema and stand-up paddle boards are available and are used responsibly, with respect for the space and others.
    This is a private home in development, not a resort. The atmosphere and comfort are the result of collective care.

    Food & Shared Living
    Breakfast and homemade meals are prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
    Whenever possible, meals are shared as part of the cultural exchange. On days when I am not present, ingredients are available so you can cook independently.
    The kitchen is a shared space and must remain clean and organized after each use.
    This exchange works best when maturity, responsibility and reciprocity are natural on both sides.
