Description
The refuge, located on Navarino Island in the city of Puerto Williams, is literally the end of the world. It consists of five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, common areas, a kitchen, a living room, and a terrace along its entire façade. Its construction was based on the restoration of an old fisherman's house abandoned for more than 20 years. Ninety percent of the restoration work on this old dwelling was achieved through the collaboration of volunteers from around the world.
El refugio ubicado en Isla Navarino en la ciudad de Puerto Williams, es literalmente el fin del mundo. Consta de 5 dormitorios cada uno con baño privado, espacios comunes, cocina, living y terraza en todo el recorrido de su fachada. Su construccion parte de la restauracion de una antigua casa de pescadores abandonada por mas de 20 años. Un 90% de los trabajos de recuperacion de esta antigua vivienda ha sido gracias a la colaboracion de voluntaros de distintas partes del mundo. -

Puerto Williams, with just over 2,000 inhabitants and a very small population of Yagan origin, no more than 100 descendants, mostly residents of the shelter, live in Villa Ukika.
I enjoy sharing meals, conversations, etc. with the volunteers. With trust and respect, my house is their home. We all know each other here in the city, so I can help with tips—hiking along the coast, going to the mountains, etc. The most important thing for me is that they feel good here. The island is a unique place in the world.
Puerto Williams con poco mas de 2000 habitantes y una poblacion muy pequeña de origen Yagan, de no mas de 100 desendientes en su mayoria vecinos al refugio, viven en Villa Ukika.
Me gusto compartir comidas, conversaciones etc con los volontarios. Con confianza y respeto, mi casa es su casa. Nos conocemos todos aqui en la ciudad, pues puedo ayudar con tips. Caminar en la costa, ir en las Montañas etc.
Lo mas importante para mi es que se siente bien aqui. La isla es un lugar unico en el mundo. -

Today, the plans are to continue with a camping area. We need to build two full bathrooms, platforms for setting up tents, and green areas. Help is welcome with cleaning and maintenance, carpentry, and finishing work.
Hoy los planes son continuar con un area de camping. Debemos construir 2 baños completos, plataformas para montar carpas, areas verdes. Se requiere ayuda en trabajos de mantecion de aseo y limpieza, carpinteria y terminaciones. -
