Description
My wife and I have a two bedroom apt in a quiet , residential neighborhood, and need someone to work with me on home repairs. Duties include; cleaning, organizing, help installing cabinets, and other maintenance. You must be able to lift up to 25 kilos, climb a ladder and use power tools. Four hours a day , 5 days a week with flexible scheduling. Food choices can be accommodated. You would have your own bedroom/office with internet.
The house is located about four blocks from the train. It is a 45 minute train ride to anywhere in Manhattan . The fare is $2.75. There is also a coach bus that is $6.75.
We are one mile from The Bronx Zoo and the NY Botanical Garden. I like growing mushrooms, ukulele, boxing, photography, video production, riding motorcycles, restoring old sports cars.
We cannot accommodate smokers or pets. We can only host a single person. Available immediatrly. -

It was a pleasure spending time with Alan installing doors, eating sandwiches from that deli(so good) and talking about everything from tools to theology. Alan is a knowledgeable and generous man with a kind and warm heart. He was appreciative and supportive throughout the experience and I'm glad to have made a friend with such great qualities.

Victor came sailing with a friend Ana. They arrived on time and although the winds were light, we had a great sail. We talked for hours and felt like old friends. Both helped with the boat and sailed around Long Island Sound, singing, taking pictures, and looking at the mansions. We sailed until a beautiful sunset.

Alan was a very thoughtful host. We went sailing and Alan pointed out various landmarks and told us stories about his previous sailing experiences. Holly came sailing with two other dancers. Her experience with sailing proved very helpful as it was a windy day and she picked up the mooring like a champ. She is talkative, very funny, and a pleasure to have onboard. She is exactly the type of person I like to have on my boat and made the day one that I will remember. I highly recommend her.
