We are running an B&B with permaculture commitments.
Manifesting a demonstration for the abundance that can be created by living self-sustainability and in harmony with the environment. By interaction of a cultural gathering space and self-sustainable design, we collaborate towards creating a sustainable homestead and base for mindful explorers.
We are working towards the manifesting of our visions which we believe includes the global community thriving as a collective within planetary abundance. You are invited to connect with like-minded people that resonate with ideas and dreams for this world that express our human potential.
As a natural healthcare practitioner, counsellor and herbalist I am inspired by regenerative enthusiasts which includes areas of healing; natural building; research; wellness; training & education, mindful traveling & tourism, as well as culture rooted in creative expression reflecting abundance.

We are developing our family property into a self-sustainable homestead and a flourishing urban-permaculture demonstration site, a wellness hub and eco-lodging for like-minded travellers to share and integrate the experience of new and conscious approaches together.

My place is abundant with life-enriching experience... From visiting the local communities to bungee-jumping to river rafting to touring through the forest canopies; the region is filled with excitement right through. South Africa is colorfully painted with a diverse set of cultures which would surely give the traveler a fulfilling cultural exchange. We have international as well as local guests moving through so we always have vibrant and diverse influence both culturally and socially. There is sure to be a magnificent cultural exchange here in Tsitsikamma!
I trust the work exchange along with the nature and cultural setting will be a main beneficial value added point to the experience. Ecological and cultural integration as well as business with language learning experience will be something to learn from.
Permaculture practice, hospitality, administration, and business skills can be learned or improved.
We are taking in volunteers to assist in helping with:
- Tourists (serving, check-in & check-out)
- Business Administration (computer/internet)
- House keeping (room preparations and oversight)
- Permaculture (vegetable and fruit production, composting, animal care, food forest implementation)
- Maintenance, and development of the project (see below for more activities involved)
Longer term commitment:
A general manager position is available (6 months minimum duration) and payment is possible. Get in touch for more information regarding the position.
The property size is a half hectare with mountain views and lush forest green nature surrounds.
We are on the edge of transformation for South Africa and live close to the local community which makes us a raw and authentic space. We are in a much safer area of South Africa and the community is close knit. Here are promising opportunities for community development and sustainability projects; ecological demonstration and a safe space to experience the dynamics of our rainbow nation and country.
We require volunteers to help us develop the ongoing projects at our property and work towards certain end-goals such as maintaining, improving, and developing new ideas in the field of permaculture.
Basically, we need all round help with running, building and developing an Eco-center!
Ongoing projects:
- Design system planning
- Building (eco-domes for guests, outside kitchen; pizza oven, eco-showers & eco-toilets, fences, decks, etc.).
- Growing vegetables and herbs
- Wetland design and implementation
- Greenhouse building
- Building decks for the tents
- Restoration of fence
- Building of new carports
- Developing the Bundu-Kitchen
- Building a boma fireplace
- Implementing guilds and other designs towards food security
- Improving the chicken run
- Playing with the dogs
- Having fun while making it the best place in South Africa
There are opportunities to get involved in developing a health & wellness practice as part of the guest house profile.

Accommodation: camping zone under shade in one safari-canvass tent / Guest room in house on second floor.
Lush nature all around. We are planning more permanent dwellings (Eco-domes) for staff/volunteers to stay in.
Food provided: All meals with a teatime snack per day
4 - 5 hours work per day: 5 days a week. (Flexible)
Travelers can visit the Tsitsikamma forests for amazing hikes with waterfall and ocean views, the National Park can be visited, bungee jumping (one of the highest bridge bungee jumps), canopy tours, beach, river/canoe rafting, etc. There are endless activities, nature bliss and exploring to complete here. There are many other backpackers in the area for night time social as Tsitsikamma is a tourist hotspot.
We like to enjoy our off times on the beach where we play withthe dogs, canoe, play Frisbee, swim , walks in the forest and relaxation in the valleys. Drumming sessions around the bon fire at night (weather permitted) is sure to be a good one!
