The time with Arend and Jannette was absolutely great. We stayed 4 weeks on the little farm and had wonderful days in Co. Mayo. Both are very kind, funny, open-minded, welcoming and supportive. While we were there we learned many new things about their style of living, farming, self sufficiency and more.
During the weeks we did a lot of strimming,
… read more fencing, tractor driving, painting, work with the fantastic animals, field preparing (cutting and manure), cleaning the sheds and work in the polytunnel. It was always physically work but very satisfying and fun to do it. We never had to do work that would have made us feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed. They'll always make sure, that you are "okay" with the working tasks.
We worked most of the time with Arend on the farm. He is a great teacher, has a very good sense of humour, is a brain in history and supports you in every task - like he often said "there is no problem, there is always an opportunity".
Jannette has a acupuncture clinic and a big knowledge how the body works. She is a fantastic cook and always very courteous. Both live mostly self sufficient (using their own meat, vegetables and goatmilk (absolutely delicious!!!)) and are for us like a role model in this context.
The two german shepards Floyed and the puppy Roxi are fantastic and lovely! Bethany (she helps on the farm) is a very funny and lovely woman, it was very nice to meet her!
The mobile home was very comfortable, clean and has everything what you would need!!
All in all we are very very thankful about this time and can highly recommend this host. Thank you very much and maybe see you again.

I spent two wonderful weeks with Jeannette and Arend this summer. They are very kind and very welcoming. Working on the farm with Arend was very interesting. Jeannette is a very good cook. The mobil home is confortable and clean. I really enjoyed my stay. Thanks a lot Arend and Jeannette!

We had a great time during the three and a half weeks we started with Janett and Arend at the farm. The mobile home was very good equipped and very cosy. Sorry for my late feedback, but the last weeks I was very busy with other hosts.

It has been a pleasure to stay with Arend and Jannette in their farm for a month. They make you feel part of the family from the first moment and you can learn a lot about life with them.

I didn't stay long with Janette and Arend but I can tell you that they are very nice. They are very welcoming and I immediately felt at home. It was a very good experience, I recommend them. I hope to see you again someday and wish you all the best!
