Description
We are Marcia and Zeb, building our home on a 1 acre property in Grenada in the Southern Caribbean. We have constructed about 75% of our home and we're looking to host 1-2 persons with skills in construction to complete our home. We also are developing our garden and are looking to create a homestead.
We have 2 puppies, Benji and Rubel and we're both self-employed, running our separate businesses. Marcia is a Wellness Practitioner with backgrounds in Nutrition, Business and Yoga. Zeb is a craftman, specializing in handmade crafts made locally, incorporating all natural materials.
Grenada is a tropical island with warm weather all year long, and 2 climatic seasons, "dry", which runs January-May and "rainy" from June -December. The island is volcanic, featuring lovely beaches, rivers, mountains, a rainforest, waterfalls, a crater lake and so much more natural attractions. The island is notorious for it's spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, mace, allspice, tankerbean, and much more that it has been named "The isle of Spice". The indigenous foods are something to look forward to.
We are looking to host someone for 3 months, providing housing and food in exchange for assistance with completing our home and helping with gardening and homesteading chores. We're not able to give a monetary compensation at this time, but there is potential for a small stipend as time goes by.
This opportunity would be great for energetic individuals with the skills in construction, masonry, gardening, homesteading as well as someone who loves the tropical life of oceans, river tubing, hiking in the rainforest and exploring nature with an added bonus of eating the indigenous foods.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Our home is still under construction. However, our workaway would have personal room spaces. Outdoor bathroom. Option to construct a separate tiny house on the property for full privacy if required. Clean bedding provided, shared kitchen. We cook family style meals and offer the option to eat together with workaway. All meals provided. Since our home is still under construction, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and does not expect smooth walls and floors. A hammock is also available for sleeping indoors.
Autres infos...
This opportunity would be best for someone that is open to having the experience of life on a tropical island, does not require a perfect space, is adaptable to living in a home under construction and is open to the rewards of immersing in the projects with passion.
During time off, you can catch a local bus and go exploring nature, the island life and food outside of our home.
We're looking for someone who does not smoke cigarettes, use recreational drugs, or alcohol. We appreciate open, honest communication and we want you to feel comfortable.Informations complémentaires
