Samuel was two weeks with us and it has been a great workawayer. We have been able to bring forward our veggies garden and have the soil ready for next round. In addition he supported some maintenance works. He was always happy to improve and all was according to our expectations. We loved our conversations and his amazing knowledge in all fields

Ignacio has been an amazing workawayer! It was his first experience but after a few hours he mastered as if he had plenty of experience. He helped to get our veggies garden up to date, get our garden organised, different maintenance tasks and he learned super - quick. A part from the typical workaday tasks we had a great time discovering the city

Staying with Marcos and Verena was a wonderful experience.
During 2 weeks, I did gardening (removing weeds, preparing parcels) and maintenance work (painting, oiling the terrace). I had no experience with most of the projects that I had to do and they explained everything to me and if I had any doubt they were there to answer to it.

… read more accomodation is a really nice one, you will be able to be in contact with the nature, and also you will have privacy if you need it.
Marcos and Verena were a really nice hosts, they shared the German culture with me (we visited Hambourg, we went to the swimming pool, we did several barbacues with theie family).

Alice was an amazing workawayer! We had several projects for her and she managed in record time. Therefore she could flexible leave the house and enjoy the city. She communicates clear about the house routines and was lovely to our family. We highly recommend Alice and wish her lots of fun in her next experiences.

I had a lovely short stay with Verena and Marcos. They are very kind people and the work was varied and enjoyable. I mostly worked in the garden and helped to paint their outdoor cabin! They live in a very scenic area of Germany, perfect for anyone who wants a peaceful time.

This was one of my first workaway experiences, and I'm so glad it was with Marcos and Verena.
I spend two amazing weeks in their permaculture garden. I learned so much not only about basic permaculture also about sustainable lifestyle, seasonal cooking and vegetarian recipes.
Verena and Marcos gave me different projects like clean the hen house
… read more and weeding ( it was a bit tired but I'm quite proud of the results) . I also helped Verena to made loads of chard pesto, which was delicious!!!.
Their house is so beautiful, I had my own bedroom which was cosy ,and it was just nice spend my day in the farm surrounded by nature and quietness. But also Hamburg is not that far it takes about 40 min to get to the city center.
I missed so much eat fresh vegetables and eggs, I enjoyed amazing vegetarian Meals everyday.
I had such beautiful time with them, having dinner together and talking about different subjects and more about permaculture.
Marcos and Verena's lifestyle and their way of see the world inspired me all the time.
I definitely come back to the farm one day and also to visit Yogi and the chickens.

II had a really great time staying with Marcos and Verena. I enjoyed the work outside in the cold weather (not joking!), the cooking and the conversations at the evening time.

I mostly made maintenance work like cleaning the cellar, removing weeds or oiling the patio. We enjoyed delicious meals cooked with vegetables from the permaculture garden, trank wine or beer at nightfalls when the air began to cool down, and had great times during the week-ends : going to the beach, riding bicycle, and even going to the electro festival Vogelball !

… read more temperatures. This experience is of everyday life, enjoyment, trial and error: learning new things, working with the earth, and giving your best, hoping for the best to come back in return.
Helpwise, the green patch will always need care and observation, as well as the new sunny corner. I helped setting both places up for the season, removing the earth, digging holes for planting, preparing compost and manure, usual gardening. Around the house and newly set up cottage, usual help in cleaning keeping things tidy. Projects in and around the gardens and meadow abound, as a conversation to Verena and/or Marcos will surely inform you.
I loved sharing moments with this beautiful family, their wild cat, and curious chickens (still praying for little-too-curious Cony).
