Oh Krissi! We miss you! Krissi was an absolute pleasure to host. She was so warm and welcoming. She was neat, clean and organized. She helped us in so many ways. She assisted with our crazy children, cleaned the house, cooked, dishes, laundry, mowed the lawn, feeding the farm animals, weeding the garden and orchard and the list goes on. Krissi was

I spent amazing five weeks with Leah, Nolan, Ellie and Blaire! I really felt like a family member and we had so much fun together. I couldn´t ask for a better Workaway experience. They showed me so many beautiful places around Okotoks and made me really feel like at home. On the weekends we did lots of fun activities together: For example, we went

During my stay I experienced the rural farm life. One of my highlights was definitely the birth of piglets!
My chores included feeding the horses, cows, pigs and chickens. I also took care of the garden and the orchard. I watered the bushes and vegetables, did weeding and mowed the lawn. Furthermore, I assisted with light household chores like doing the dishes or laundry, vacuum cleaning, and dinner preparation. Overall, the amount of work was totally manageable.
Ellie and Blaire are gorgeous – both are very funny girls we had much fun on the trampoline! I also really enjoyed taking the dogs Brooklyn and George for daily walks.

Miss Julia stayed with us for 2 weeks and we had so much fun! She is cool, calm and collected. Very mature for her age and is pleasant to be around. I spent two weeks with Leah and Nolan. I can’t describe how beautiful that time was. I would like to give more than five stars. From the first moment I felt like a family member. The daily tasks are not hard. I did the laundry, vacuumed the floor, did the dishes, mowed the lawn and fed the animals. Sometimes I picked up the dog from the neighbours
… read more when she was away. The family took me to all activities. We have been boating and surfing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, tubing and barbecue in the river :D. It was all amazing. I will miss this beautiful and fun family and my favourite dog George.

How could I describe my beautiful stay at Leah and Nolan's ? there is no word strong enough to tell how amazing it was ! I was their first workaway but it didn't look like it. They are such a beautiful people with a big heart and they was perfect host with me (even the best I ever had) ! I was part of their beautiful family, they took care of me

They show me all the best places around Calgary : lake Louise, Banff, Waterton... we did also few activities like boating, calgary tower, paintball, activate, riding, hiking, biking, rodeo...
They introduce me to their friends and we spend very good moments with them. There is so many things to say, I can't stop writing ! I discover the farmlife and I learned so many things. That was very fun to work in their farm (pigs are always starving lol).
if you like country music, laugh and animals that the place to be !
Their daughters are funny and likeable, you will love jumping with them on the trampoline ! there is so many things to say, my stay was awesome ! so awesome than I decided to delaying my departure two times!

Claire was our first workaway. She set the bar so high! What an absolutely amazing human being she is. She is positive, friendly, caring and hilarious. We had so many laughs and it was so exciting to watch her see and do things for the first time. She is an incredibly hard worker and made sure the job was done right. She went above and beyond. She
… read more helped out our family so much. Our daughters were obsessed with her. She helped our daughter with her french homework, did laundry, mowed lawns, weeding, cleaned the house and she was flexible with any task given. We are so sad to see her go and we were so lucky to have her extend her stay with us for 5 weeks! I would take her back into our home in a heartbeat. Anyone who has her as a workaway is so lucky.
