Welcome to the our Hostel! Located in the heart of Gunnison, CO, this quiet, exceptionally clean residential hostel feels like coming home. Perfect for groups, families, couples, or solo travelers. Our facility offers a large communal kitchen, living space, backyard, and both private & shared rooms.
Our Hostel is only 28 miles from Crested Butte, and minutes from downtown Gunnison. Hop on the free bus a block away and head up to CB for some great food, skiing, and shopping, or grab a hostel bike and cruise Gunnison.
We offer positions based on availability all year long! We are looking for energetic, adventurous, collaborative and creative people to join our team. We are truly "a bed between adventures."

The mountain town of Gunnison, CO will welcome you with open arms! Life in Gunnison is all about loving the outdoors and loving your community. Gunnison is a small college town where adventure sport athletes, ranchers and tourists come together to call the mountains home. There are plenty of cultural and recreational opportunities in the area to keep you busy any engaged!
As far as the hostel goes, you will learn as much as you want about the in's and out's of owning and managing a small business. We have had two employees go on to open their own hostels. Aide
At the hostel we have THREE EMPLOYEES (one manager + two employees) who run the day-to-day operations of the hostel.
You will work four to five shifts every week. During these shifts you are responsible for cleaning the hostel, taking new reservations and interacting with the guests.
During the summer we have a large garden that you will help care for!
In return we offer a monthly stipend and housing. This comes out to be above minimum wage with lots of flexibility and down time during your shifts.

We are a large house in a residential area which has been converted into a hostel. Guest bedrooms consists of two dorm rooms and two private rooms. The hostel also has a communal kitchen, living room, dining room and back yard. Staff housing is on site, but the hostel itself is your home! Staff bedrooms are downstairs. This space consists of two bed rooms-- one private for the manger and one shared for the two other staff.

During your time off you can explore the beautiful Gunnison Valley! Raft on the Gunnison or Taylor River, rock climb in Taylor Canyon, ski Crested Butte or Monarch Mountain, visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the Great Sand Dunes National Parks, mountain bike at Hartman Rocks or in Crested Butte, go on a hike in many of the surrounding wilderness areas, attend lots of live music, munch on some food at the farmers markets and much much more!
