  Description

  We are a small, family-run Icelandic company with accommodations across the country, and we are currently looking for a motivated and responsible person (or a couple – although the compensation will be the same) to join us for a unique experience in East Iceland.
  My name is Elena, and I am the manager of the place. I am spanish but I am in love with this country and I dedicate my life to the Icelandic tourism since 2017. I want to find somebody to take care of the property but also to enjoy the place and the surrondings. This is an old farm that was renovated by the village of Vopnafjordur to be a guesthouse that only opens during the summer.
  Near our accommodation, you can enjoy birdwatching, fishing, and hiking, and in the nearest village, you’ll find shops, a cafe and a bar, a gym, beautiful beaches, and an outdoor geothermal swimming. pool.
  
  The position is based in our guesthouse located in the East Fjords, surrounded by untouched nature and far from the crowds. It’s a truly special place, perfect for someone who needs a break from the fast-paced lifestyle we live in today, and enjoys peace, nature, and a slower pace of life.
  
  We are looking for someone available from June until September. Accommodation is, of course, provided at the guesthouse.

  You will get an inside look at how hospitality works in Iceland, especially in more remote areas, and learn about local customs, lifestyle, and day-to-day operations. You will easily make friends from Vopnafjordur, the village where the guest house is. They are very nice and warm people and always willing to welcome the new team member. .
  Living here you will quickly understand why people fall in love with this country.

  The main tasks involve cleaning the guest rooms after check-out and keeping the common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) clean and tidy for incoming guests.
  
  Working hours will be just a couple of hours per day.
  
  We can offer a fixed salary of 150.000ISK. Accomodation is free :)
