  Description

  Help us build our Intiwasi ancestral therapy center!
  
  Our mission is to organize our space to host spiritual retreats and learn from people around the world. Shaman Gustavo and his family own a wonderful space in Quindío, surrounded by nature. This is a perfect place to get away from the noise of the city, while still being close to towns such as Salento, Filandia, Circasia, and Armenia.
  
  Please only apply if you meet ALL of these requirements:

  
  - You are a man who has experience in brick and mortar construction (carpentry experience is a plus!)
  - You are disciplined, energetic, and responsible
  - You have good personal hygiene habits
  - You speak Spanish - conversional level accepted (our family doesn’t speak English and this would hinder the correct execution of the tasks)

  
  IMPORTANT: Please do not apply if you don’t know how to handle these building techniques. We have had several experiences with previous volunteers who claimed to know some techniques but did not, and instead of helping, they became a burden for the family.
  
  The exchange includes:

  
  - Accomodation from Monday to Sunday.
  - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Monday to Friday.


  
  Drugs, marijuana, and alcohol cannot be consumed at the center, since we are a family with 3 children and we seek to set the best example for them.

  
  We host spiritual ceremonies every month or fortnight. These are not included in the exchange — if you want to participate there is an additional cost. 

  
  We are very friendly and we love to help and learn from people all around the world.

  Travelers would benefit coming to our place because Quindio is a beautiful state surrounded by mountains, coffee plantations, and stunning nature. We are very close to Filandia, Armenia, and Salento where you can hike the Cocora Valley, Parque de los Nevados, and meet people from all over the world. In Circasia you could visit many different coffee bars and enjoy the small town atmosphere. The bus stop is just 10 minutes walking from our place.
  We have 3 lovely children and we are frequently visited by friends so you will have the opportunity to meet many kind locals and practice your Spanish.
  Our friends play medicinal music for the ceremonies and love to share and learn from others. We are like a family. We love to hear about other's lives and believe that everybody has something to teach us. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a sacred ceremony of herbs/plants and learn about other sacred plants.
  (The cost of the spiritual ceremonies and other medicinal plants is not included)

  Aide

  We are looking for travelers who are interested in connecting with nature, helping us to build our therapeutic center, and assisting with general maintenance. We work five days a week(Mon-Fri) and weekends are free. The person should speak and understand Spanish as we don't speak any other languages, however, we are interested in learning English. We need around 5 hours of help per day, sometimes more.

  We have a humble place to sleep . We have a shared bathroom and shower. In addition we have laundry, WIFI, and potable water. Food is provided 5 days a week.
  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SHARING WITH US, KEEP IN MIND THAT THE USE OF DRUGS, ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES IS NOT ALLOWED IN OUR CENTER.

  Autres infos...

  There's a bus stop close to the house where you can catch buses to Circasia, Armenia, Salento, and Filandia. Volunteers should bring money for other expenses such as food, bus fares, toiletries, etc.
  
  If we don't have space for you to come volunteer it is still possible to come and participate in the ceremony. Just contact us and we will give you the information.
