We had Ari and Nina with us for about 3 weeks. I was their first Workaway experience so I’m pleased I can give them a great review. They are a wonderful young couple who are eager to do whatever I needed. Some jobs were a bit of a learning curve but they took direction well. They helped with the kitchen clean up after each meal. Our stay at Michelle's and Rob's place was great! We were here for three weeks in total and we really felt like at home.
First of all, the work we did was nice, we were mainly doing gardening stuff like weeding, harvesting, watering etc. and also some other work like lawn maintenance.
We also always received very cool recommendations and they
… read more tried their best to show us around the island. Michelle even introduced us to their neighbours, friends and family which was a lovely experience and we just really appreciate how we were welcomed into their home. (+ the dogs are so cute!)

Michelle is OVER THE TOP ! She is an amazing host and person. The type of person that you feel so lucky to meet on your life. She is kind, caring and fun. … read more dog Emma and enjoyed a lot visiting the beautiful city of Victoria. The house is gorgeous, Michelle has a lot of taste and the private suite is worth the prettiest B&B. I had the chance to meet her husband (which was not planned as she usually host people when he works abroad) he was very welcoming and nice as well.

… read more exception. I loved hearing about her travels and insights about life. Beyond her amazing personality she is also a great worker. She was willing to help in any job I had planned and worked with great enthusiasm. She helped in the meal prep and clean up always. I can fully recommend Cecelia and you will be changed after meeting this beautiful woman!

From the moment I met Apolline I knew we were going to become friends very quickly. However I didn’t expect her to leave such a lasting impression on my heart. She is so sweet, kind, and carries a wisdom far beyond her years. We shared many wonderful conversations while we worked on my garden and outdoor projects. She was always eager to help me
… read more in anyway she could. And her work ethic is outstanding. She always completed her tasks fully and with attention to detail. While I could say so many good things about how hard she helped me, it was the friendship we developed that I’ll miss. Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. That is how I describe my new friend, Apolline!

Michelle is an incredible person. She is the kindest and most generous person ever. My two weeks with her flew by too quickly. Always smiling and in good spirits, from the beginning, she welcomed me into her home as if we were longtime friends.

… read more in mind for her garden. In the afternoons and on weekends, she introduced me to many beautiful places on the island or shared her little paradise with me by introducing me to her friends, neighbors, and family.
I will never forget and am grateful for our walks, our conversations, our moments in the kitchen, our movie nights,… (and Easter hunt!)

We had the pleasure of having Pauline join our family for 3 weeks. There are so many positive qualities I could share about her but I’ll highlight the ones I most appreciated. She is such a hard and diligent worker. We had a fairly large job of digging an irrigation system. She worked so hard on this with never a complaint. She’s punctual, helps
… read more with kitchen clean up. We even shared a few recipes together in the kitchen. She is easy to live with and gives the perfect amount of company as well as privacy. I can’t recommend her enough. We will definitely keep in touch!

It's hard to write about the wonderful experience I had with Michelle. She's a wonderful woman who deserves to be met.

As far as work is concerned, Michelle is very flexible about hours. I mainly trimmed the trees and shrubs, harvested the vegetables and installed the irrigation system with the help of Michelle and her neighbors.
When you're in the garden, expect to play with Emma, the adorable golden retriever who is so endearing. The other dog, Jesse, is also adorable.
I enjoyed Michelle's delicious meals. She adapts perfectly to your diet.
I loved our movie nights and board games. Michelle even invited me to the movies!

I just spent two weeks at Michelle's home and I can't say how much I appreciate how great she's been to me.
