  Welcome to My Home in Aruba!
  
  Hi! I'm Desiree, and I live on the beautiful island of Aruba. I enjoy a simple, peaceful lifestyle with my two wonderful rescue dogs. I work on creative and community projects, and from time to time I travel for work or personal adventures. During those periods, I'm looking for a kind and responsible person to stay in my home and care for my dogs and plants.
  
  My home is located in a quiet neighborhood, just 5 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from Oranjestad, and 10 minutes from San Nicolas, making it the perfect base to explore the island.
  
  My dogs are my family. Paco is a small, 12-year-old rescue adopted from San Sebastián, Spain, and Noja is a 7-year-old large rescue adopted from Oaxaca, Mexico. They are both sweet, and very well-behaved. They love spending time together, going for walks, and relaxing at home. At night, they sleep on my king-size bed in the air-conditioned bedroom, so you'll need to be comfortable sharing the room with them.
  
  Your main responsibilities will be feeding the dogs, taking them for a walk every morning and afternoon, watering my plants, and keeping the house clean and tidy.
  
  To make your stay easier, you're welcome to use my car to take the dogs to the beach or nature and to explore the island during your free time. Please note that my car has a manual (standard) transmission, so you must be comfortable driving a stick shift and have a valid driver's license.
  
  I'm looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, is respectful of my home, and enjoys a relaxed island lifestyle. In return, you'll experience Aruba from a local's perspective while sharing your days with two loving rescue dogs.

  I can introduce you to the relaxed island lifestyle in Aruba. If our schedules allow before or after my trip, I'd be happy to show you some of my favorite beaches, nature spots, local cafés, and restaurants. I also work on creative and community projects, so you may have the opportunity to attend some cultural local activities and meet local artists, entrepreneurs, and people involved in the island's cultural scene. If you enjoy the outdoors, Aruba offers beautiful beaches, hiking trails, snorkeling, and stunning sunsets to experience.
  
  I'm always happy to share what I've learned about living in Aruba, island life, sustainable living, caring for rescue dogs, and gardening in a tropical climate. I have experience in project management, fundraising, marketing, and the arts, so if you're interested in any of those areas, I'd be happy to exchange ideas and experiences. I believe Workaway is about learning from each other rather than simply exchanging work for accommodation.
  
  One of my favorite things about traveling is meeting people from different backgrounds, and I love bringing that experience home by hosting. I'm curious about different cultures, traditions, languages, recipes, and ways of life. I enjoy meaningful conversations and learning how others see the world. I hope every Workaway experience is a chance for us both to leave with new perspectives, friendships, and memories.

  My home is a small 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, with kitchen. Outside space to sit and relax with my plants. Completely closed and private. You might only see the landlord at the back when they do laundry. But you will have your own washing machine.
