  Description

  We are Americans living in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Our home is located in a small village in the interior of the country. The house is a furnished small village house in an old but beautiful, typical, small Portuguese village. Because of the distance from more populated areas, there is not a lot of typical tourist things. The Alentejo area is close to the border with Spain and full of things to do, river beaches, castles, and other villages to explore. It would be helpful to have a car to get around and do things in the area.

  This is a great opportunity to go off-the-beaten path in a beautiful area of Portugal and practice your Portuguese skills. Most of the people in the village will not speak English. You can also cross over into Spain and practice your Spanish there.

  I'm waiting for an important piece of mail but will be away from home, so I'd like someone to be there daily when the mail arrives. I also would like someone who speaks at least a little Portuguese.

  Hébergement

  You will be staying in your own room in the 2-story, 2 bedroom house with full access to the bathroom and kitchen. It is furnished and has a washing machine. We won't be there for the most part, so you will be responsible for your own food. You will need to provide your own transportation.
  
  I have a mobile wifi device that you can use if you don't have one, you can purchase prepaid internet service from vodafone. Sorry, we are unable to host smokers. The house has relatively steep stairs so not recommended for very young children or those with mobility issues.

  Broadband internet but works at high speeds -there is a vodafone hotspot device with sim card to use for a week on arrival, and for 30 euro you can renew it or get a new one that works for 30 days. I've tested the speed inside the house and it is surprisingly fast.
