Description
Farm Life, Animals, Garden & Cultural Exchange
Welcome to our olive garden!
We are a small, friendly family living on a peaceful farm in Türkiye, surrounded by olive trees, animals, fresh air, and beautiful nature. Our home is in Kemalpasa, 30 min away from İzmir city center, so Workawayers can easily explore the city while still enjoying quiet countryside life. Around our land, there are many beautiful places to hike, walk, and enjoy nature.
Our main farm has about 500 olive trees and seasonal vegetable gardens. We also look after chickens, turkeys, sheep, two dogs, and many cats — so animal lovers feel at home immediately.
I work remotely during the day, and in the evenings/weekends we take care of the farm together. The biggest task of the year is olive harvesting, and Workawayers who join us during the season will learn the full process and taste our fresh extra virgin olive oil.
In addition to our main farm, we also have another piece of land in Manisa, where we take care of 60 old olive trees. Sometimes we do harvesting there as well.
On these days, the schedule is different: we usually work from 08:00 to around 18:00, including driving time by car.
These are longer workdays, but we always compensate by giving extra free days afterward, so the overall weekly balance stays fair.
Outside harvest season (November-December), tasks include gardening, planting, weeding, watering, small repairs, helping with animals, and general farm duties. No special skills needed — just positivity and willingness to help.
We love cultural exchange, meeting new people, sharing food, learning about different traditions, and introducing volunteers to Turkish life. If you love nature, simple living, and friendly company, you will feel comfortable with us.
