 - Description- Hello! I am an archaeologist currently living in a beautiful village in Izmir with my beloved pets (cats, dogs, and a donkey). Our home is situated in a wonderful, forested area, within walking distance of a small waterfall and just 8km from the beach. It is a bit away from the city center but easily accessible by public transport.
As I am now living alone, I balance home office work with taking care of the house, my animals, and a spacious garden. During the week, I mostly work remotely on my computer from my home office (from 8 am to 6 pm or sometimes 10 am to 8 pm), which requires quiet, uninterrupted time in one room.
The office I use is actually my guest room. When I’m not working, you can use that room as well. The guest room is available for Workawayers and is set up for comfortable sleeping. The living room is always available for relaxing or socializing. The garden offers a beautiful environment, especially for caravan travellers.
You will also have the chance to interact with my landlord, who lives in a separate house within the garden and speaks English very well. When I am not at home, you can always communicate with him as well.

 - Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre- I live in Izmir/Menderes. You can reach my house by walking through the forest on the hill where I live; there is a vineyard on the same street that makes great wines, and you can take a short walk into the forest from my house to enjoy nature, with a small waterfall that flows only in the rainy season. For travel, there is a bus stop about a 15-minute walk from the house where bus #775 passes, which can take you to the seaside in about 8 minutes, and from there you can take a minibus to the ancient city of Ephesus; you can also reach the transfer center via bus #775 through my village, and from there take the IZBAN train to the city center. I now have a scooter, so I can drop you off at the stop below with my scooter and pick you up from there; if you have a motorcycle license, you can go to nearby places by scooter.
 - Aide- Due to my remote working routine five days a week, I am seeking a kind and self-sufficient Workawayer to help me with general tasks around the garden and animal care. Here’s what I’m looking for:
-Caring for my pets (mainly cats, dogs, and a donkey)
-Collecting fruits and maintaining the garden
-Occasional simple repairs or organizing tasks outdoors
-Enjoying and taking care of the outdoor spaces (especially if you come with a caravan, this is a perfect spot for you!)
-In the summer months, I might need someone for live-in housesitting, mainly to look after the house and animals while I’m away.
During weekdays (my work days), I’ll be working in my home office, but I’m happy to spend time together in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. On days I’m off, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful nature around, hike to the nearby waterfall, or relax by the beach.
If you enjoy animals, gardening, and spending time in a peaceful rural location—while being independent during the week—this place will be a great fit!

 - Hébergement- I have a guest room and a living room that you can use for sleeping. Since I’ll be working, we might miss some morning breakfasts together, but we can coordinate and share lunches and dinners when possible.
I enjoy cooking, and I prefer to cook myself to take care of my kitchen tools and avoid damage to them. If you want to cook, please try to keep the kitchen slightly dry and clean.
There is space in the garden for caravans or tents if you come with one.
I usually keep a flexible meal routine: sometimes a late breakfast, and a main meal twice a day, with snacks and enough food in the fridge for those who want an early start.
We can plan shared meals for lunch and dinner on the days we’re both free.

They are amazing hosts, who gave us a very warm welcome.
During our whole stay we were a big family. We had breakfast and dinner all together. They are very good cooks! The cooperation with both of them worked very well and they always tried to take into account our personal needs and wishes.
