Description
Hi, I'm Kaori from Japan.
Now it's time for me to jump into new adventures. I started travelling around Europe from summer 2023. After 2 years of travelling in Europe, I went back to Japan once but now I'm ready to go another adventure!
I'm excited to explore new places, meet new people and see different cultures.
One of the big theme of my journey is "food", I love to learn about local dishes and traditional food cultures (typical home cooking/baking). Not only the food related work, I'm willing to help any projects and do my best!! :)
I also love nature, animals, outdoors.
I look forward to new adventures and experiences, and being part of your family!

- Gardening / Farming -
I had been farming for 8 years with natural farming method and used to grow more than 20 kinds of vegetables and fruits. It's important for me to know where the foods I eat comes from, how they were produced. I know farming is hard work sometime but producing your own food is very natural and simple thing for me to live.
- Cooking -
I love cooking and have worked at several organic restaurant and cafes as serving staff and also worked in the kitchen. I love to share typical Japanese foods if you like!

Kaori honoured us for two weeks in late spring of 2024. She woke up early, did the daily routine tasks, and then helped with cleaning the rooms with other volunteer. We enjoyed her stories about her farming experiences and life in Japan. This time we were maybe a bit too busy to ask her to prepare some Japanese food, but next time I will :)

I stayed for little over 2 weeks at Fouad's hostel. Hostel located in tiny village in the mountain, it's a lovely place surrounded by lush greenery and nature, with stunning views every day. It was such a pleasure having Kaori with us! We asked her to do gardening stuff (cutting berry bushes, nasti weeding jobs, clearing out soil of rocks and roots to put new gras seeds on it, a.m.m), also she cleaned our whole entrance area outside.
